Hannibal (Revised Edition) (A Wicked History)

This book is great!! I'm a high school special education teacher, and I bought this book for an alternative ELA/Social Studies class I was teaching last year. This book was perfect! It had a lower reading level without sounding like a baby book, and the maps and pictures helped the students visualize what was happening. It was informative while still being exciting, and they got really into it! The students were so engaged, and really enjoyed discussing the events.The best part? A few weeks ago one of those students was visiting in my classroom while was doing an activity with another student, and I was using some of the questions from the unit on this book. My student from last year remembered every answer! I commented on how excited I was that he remembered, and he said, "Of course I do - that book was awesome!" :)If you're looking for a book to get kids interested in history, I highly recommend this one! I'm planning to get others in the series to keep in my classroom!

Hannibal is being depicted as a white dude. Not at all happy with this order. He was an African. Would not allow me to give zero stars. Returning ASAP.
