HP Wireless Kit - GREAT PRODUCT!!!!
I bought a new laptop and needed to be wireless. I work across my office from the printer and getting up to "cable-up" every time was a hassel. I bought the HP Wireless Kit to work with my HP Printer and it's amazing. Installation was easy. No conflicts, no printing problems, nothing! I also bought two of these for my father's home office using two computers. He uses it with one laptop connecting to one HP printer and the other computer uses the kit with a Minolta Color Printer. Again, no problems with installation or use. You can only use ONE of these kits per computer, per printer. There is a conflict if you try to set up more than one. Other than that, I highly recommend this product to increase productivity & increase mobility and to get rid of some of those unsightly wires.

Windows 7 Workaround
[...]Hi @ll,I have just created a work around to install the driver correctly on a Windows 7 machine, done these steps on two machines and it works perfectly.Just follow the following steps. Unfortunately I can't attach files here as I had created an Office document with screenshots to make it easier to follow. If you would like to have the document, please drop me a note to send it to you.In order to install the HP Wireless Printing Upgrade Kit in Windows 7 please do the following.1. Download and install the HP Wireless Printing Upgrade Basic Software/Drivers (Computer Purchased with Windows Vista Operating System)2. When the installation reaches 90% on the top bar and 10% at the bottom bar it will hang.3. Don't panic. :smileytongue:4. Right mouse click on the taskbar and start the Task Manager.5. Select the Wireless Printing upgrade kit in the Applications tab and right mouse click it and select Go to Process.6. Stop the process called Setupwizard.exe7. You will get the following pop-up mentioning that the program probably was not correctly installed and that you have two choices to select from: Reinstall with recommended settings and This program is correctly installed.8. Choose to reinstall the program and Windows 7 will pop-up the permission request.9. After allowing, the installation files will be extracted again.10. You will see the Welcome screen again.11. Click on install, select I agree, Next.12. It will find your printer adapter showing the device connected to it.13. Click on Next and the installation continues.14. At the end of the installation an HTML page is launched saying: You need to install the printer software before you can use your printer.15. After that just right mouse click on the connection manager at the taskbar, select Connect and the Plug and Play will install the printer driver as if the printer was directly connected to the PC.If the P&P doesn't find the driver or does not kick in you can try with Windows update, if the driver is there it will be installed, otherwise use the CD you might have.16. Start e.g. Microsoft Office Word 2007 and send a print job and from the drop down menu you can select the printer which was installed.17. Scanning also works I used Microsoft Office Document Imaging to scan from the PSC 2210.

Good but not
I bought this adapter about a year ago and installed it in my office. It was originally to use with my own computer then moved to the receptionists computer when I got a new HP printer with wifi built in. As I had read in reviews, the usb dongle is always very hot to touch. It worked really well until one day it had just quit working. It was the dongle, apparently. The computer is connected to a UPS with surge protection since the power in the building is often interrupted , so blaming a power outage doesn't seem reasonable. It just died and I think it might be related to the amount of heat generated by the dongle. I got a new unit and installed it. Again, it installed easily, works just fine, still runs pretty hot. I haven't tried networking it with the wifi system since each computer has its own printer, so I can't comment on the ability to do that. I liked it well enough to buy a second one, so I guess I can't give it a better endorsement than that. If it weren't for the short life span of the original one, I would have given it five stars. If this one lasts longer, I would change it from three to five stars. Time will tell.

Misleading Description
I bought this wireless printer server to connect a printer to my Windows 7 PC. I read everything carefully. No where did it say it would NOT work with WIndows 7, which it will NOT. A complete waste of money. The seller should have properly described the product and stated its limitations.

Wireless users BE SURE TO READ THE REVIEW BY John Knecht
Anyone with a wireless network BE SURE TO READ the review by John Theodore Knecht "John Knecht" IS A MUST READ!!!This fellow has gone to a lot of trouble to help us out where the HP boy's once again dropped the ball...The instructions on this suck but John found the answer to how to hook up the stupid unit to your wireless network I was having to switch the wireless doggle from computer to computer by walking to the other room when I wanted to print. I was about to return and just locate the printer with the DSL router and plug the printer into the router when I read his VERY HELPFUL REVIEW... I am glad that this time I did not have to do the search for this HP foul up or maybe a fowl up, you never know with these large companies now days as the tech very rarely know what the hell they are talking about. The last time I call HP was about not being able to load the 7350 printer driver onto drive D: where my dual booted up the second Operating system.. The stupid woman tech said at first the problem was my CD then she said you cannot load a second set into your second operation system... I spent 4 hours and call the supervisor back and told her how. She said no one had ever done that.. Showes what they know just like John's experiance. Bring our SERVICE BACK TO THE U.S.A.!!!!!!!A retired Tech, sys anaylist and computer consultantAL
