I loved this book! Million Dollar Women is written for female entrepreneurs, and the wisdom that Julia offers is applicable for any woman aiming to take leaps, go after her passion, and have breakthroughs. Well written, with inspiring stories and anecdotes from Julia and other successful women, the book offers tons of practical insight, exercises, and encouragement to get started and then keep going! As a small business owner and mother of two small children, I found Julia's perspective on navigating work and life and going after both with equal passion to be very insightful. I highly recommend it to anyone thinking about how to grow themselves and their business, and to do it in a way that works for them and their family. There are so few business development books out there that really take a look at the whole picture of who you are and how to support your life as an entrepreneur -- Million Dollar Women does this in an inspiring and insightful way.

For anyone (male or female) who is at the brink of raising funds to start or grow their business, this book is a MUST.I'm the founder/co-owner of a 7 year old thriving service business that launched via personal and bank loans. I bought this book in an airport randomly. In the middle of starting my own business, I started reading this book on the plane, and by page 3 started trembling, and with tears rolling down my face, i felt the author KNEW the ups and downs of being a woman entrepeneur, this seemed my story but so much further down the line. This book is THE BOOK EVERY WOMAN SHOULD READ WHO WANTS TO BE AN ENTREPENEUR! It gives incredible wisdom, advice, honesty and truth on the good, the bad and even the ugly of start ups, and the particular challenges women face, to which there are many. I have been deeply inspired, I have been given a road map to navigate the road ahead, and am BLESSED to read the I insightful wisdom of a brave woman who did it all. Thank you for sharing your wisdom and guideance. You are my blessing!

A tool for women entrepreneurs to think big and actually do it.

This book is a treasure – I have shared it not only with friends but with my young daughters as well! It is extremely well written and while it teaches valuable lessons on how to assert yourself and achieve success in business -- it is also super fun to read – it is funny, smart, interesting, and inspiring! AND while I was interested because I am an entrepreneur, it is NOT just for entrepreneurs – it will be loved by all women who want to get over their personal insecurities and learn how to strive for goals that seem out of reach and achieve more successes and satisfaction in every part of their lives.

This is one of the best books I have ever read. I read it a few years ago and I continue to find motivation and insight from this text. As a mother working in corporate america, who is a former entrepreneur with a desire to get back to that, it provides clear insight as to how to manage the work, life balance, juggle, in a very realistic fashion, based on Julia's personal experience. She also gives specific advice on how to handle all the life and entrepreneurial challenges that come up and explains how to pivot. It is not preachy as the book is her telling her story. I have been searching for more books like this, but have yet to find one even close to as good.

The author lectures and it seems to be all about how you can be her. Too rah rah for me. I found myself trying to see how her examples could fit in my life.

I am blown away but the content of this book! I am not an entrepreneur and I don't remember why I landed on this title but based on the reviews wanted to give it a shot. The is incredibly eye opening, I never knew how anyone who wasn't a millionaire could start a company, so not only was that part mind blowing but just how the fears and insecurities that run through women's minds tend to be so similar no matter what you do. I work in a male dominated field and I just felt so identified by her struggles that it was truly inspiring to see how she overcame and worked through them. Highly recommended, especially if you are a female business owner. A must read!

The book is a disaster.The writer claims 24/7 in this book how wonderful she is and says that no other woman did the same as her in the US by providing data from the previous century.To be honest, she is just a very lucky person with close rich friends who invested in a non-working and not yet profitable company 200k. In any case, she can’t be called a self-made woman andI think the book should be named “how my rich friends and family helped me to grow a business”.Totally not worth buying because the book is written by her giant ego and not a self made woman entrepreneur who struggled and tells us useful info.

Language is very easy to understand. And very helpful and inspiring book for entrepreneurs.

Julia has written an excellent and practical guide to growing and developing a business for women. Very smart and insightful tips on how to balance family. business and personal life. Lots of case histories and proven methods for approaching investors. Great practical exercises throughout and excellent compilation of tools and resources at the back. Highly recommend this book to anyone getting started in business or existing business owners who want to take their business to the next level.
