Super impressed. These are incredible
- Last longer than Rockford Fosgate slim subwoofers (surprisingly)- Fit perfectly behind the seat of single cab trucks, and provide powerful bass response- Easy and straightforward setup, hookup to battery, ground and radio and you’re all set.- Not too powerful- Can run on most stock alternators- Value you get from these are unmatched.I’d recommend using a SKAR Amp for these, as I found they’re louder and more responsive compared to a Pioneer amp.

Great sub...especially for the price !
Sounds fantastic ! Installed it in my 2007 Honda Ridgeline, under the back seat. Had to make a slight modification to the floor liner but worked out well !

Fit
Fits perfectly behind the back seat of my 18 Tacoma. And sounds great. A lot better than the factory Jbl. Highly recommend.

As expected nothing spectacular
Half decent enclosure I guess.. I pulled out the sub, No polyfill or bracing it's just glued together mdf, Weighs 10lbs, I think product description said 8 but idk.. it weighs 10 haha.Bass output is what you would expect from a sealed 8" @84db sensitivity.. sad.. It's kind of like throwing a 6x9 in the back with a low pass on it. I only have it gained to 230watts, subsonic at 28hz, lowpass at 120hz. if it's not getting full power then you can hardly even tell it's working. It's no fault of pioneer tho... it's a small enclosure, low xmax, sealed 8. Honestly... buying a 6x9 enclosure and thowing in a speaker with a lowpass is probably the more cost efective option.Sound quality is so-so seems to me like the enclosure might be resonating here and there, but I don't really know.I love that they make this package tho as it's one of the only "underseat" subwoofers you can find that doesn't have some craptacular 100w amp built in.I'm experienced enough that I knew what to expect and yet was still let down. I just needed a sub that would fit underseat for a cross country roadtrip and this fits the bill.If you are looking for a "first subwoofer" trust and go for something else cuz this aint it cheif. Run with kicker downfiring if you're married to downfire, not the Comp budget, but whatever the models are that have a cool looking woofer and run between 200-300 bucks. Worth it.At least you get a speaker cover... altho it is epoxied to the subwoofer... so you can remove it, but it's not as easy as just removing a few screws.Anyway it's really more 3.5stars I guess. Partly because pioneers website has had some typos for over a year now.. and that tells you alot about the chinese shell of a company they are anymore. Sub is okay and the speaker says made in taiwan so idk... Pioneer.. fix yo website man.I did try throwing about 340 watts at it and it handled it just fine, only did it for like 20 second or so but it survived and you'd never know it was over rms.I think the power rating is probbaly because of coil heat rather than subdeath. I messed around with it not really beating on it for like 10 minutes before I pulled the woofer out and it was fairly warm in the enclosure, nothing concerning... but play it for an hour... throw 300 watts at it... It was only 68f or so out... but play it in the texas heat...I can see the coil giving up on life.Connector terminals suck... I guess good ol push terminals are too low brow for pioneer or something.. what a pita.

Packs a big punch!
Packs a big punch! I got this for my 2020 GMC Terrain, had it installed in the very back, face down. Let's just say, it's all this mom car needs! Now it's not competition level or bust out the neighbor's windows loud, but it's pretty dang loud!

Clean sounding speaker, not overpowering but has good hit and lows without destorting

Did not work straight out of box
Like I've said in my reviews before I travel a lot. So when I get home most the time I'm past the 30-day return policy. This one I just happen to be 9 months into the year warranty plotted for a car I was rebuilding didn't get to rebuilding the vehicle until a few months ago. Just got to the point where I was installing the sound system was testing the sub on a amplifier that couldn't quite push it but would definitely let me know whether it works or not and it just didn't work. Was hassled by customer service after being ignored for weeks and having to call up to te customer service and tell them that I have not been contacted about my sub and after the initial contact point when they asked me for model number and then ignored me for 2 weeks. Waited another week. Still didn't receive any email. Had to call up to the customer service again to get them to contact me. They finally contacted me and when they did they immediately assumed it was my fault and that I didn't know how to hook up a sound system which I've been doing since I was a kid blamed it on the amplifier I used as well as my inability to connect. A system made me pay for shipping to or return the product in order to receive a repair or a new one. Pioneer used to be one of the best audio companies out there. Not so much anymore. Probably going to start going with my number one choice. Rockford fosgate or Infinity used to be one of my favorite audio companies not anymore, especially after the horrible customer service. Me being the reason why it didn't work. I know how to hook up a system. I know how to wire it. I know how to match amplifiers to subwoofer the customer service at the warranty repair shop was very rude and kept assuming it was my fault sending me specs on the amplifier I was using and the sub when I already knew the specs. Just pretty much assumed I was ignorant to hooking up systems when I was not told me that my amplifier would not work with that sub cuz the sub is a 2 ohm and the amplifier only does two ohms with one connection and four ohms at bridge connection. Little did he know that I know plenty about connections and bridging and subs and was going to do two 2. Ohm wired in series and bridged which is A well-known way to pull from your amp to push two 2 ohms without having to overheat it. If you knew as much as he acted like you did, he would have known that. Been doing this for years. Have bridged to him speakers and pairs to 4 Ohm amps. Plenty of times. Never had an issue because there it is basic knowledge when it comes to wiring up a system when you wire two 2 ohms in series it creates a 4. Ohm impedance and when I wired up sub to just make sure it worked only had it wired to one channel which was only put out 75 w and would only destroy speaker if I was trying to turn it up and make it bang off of one channel at low wattage compared to the subwoofers RMS slots. Also acted like I didn't know at RMS wattage was just because I was quoting to him the advertised maximum wattage acted like I was so ignorant too. I thought I didn't even know what RMS was or the specs of either product. If you do buy a pioneer product, make sure you return it in the 30 days that you can cuz you do not want to deal with them. Their company has gone way down in customer service and quality will never be buying from them again

Good sound small box
Comes with a speaker grill. Didn't feel like building a box this time. Worked in my Jeep LJ (laying down) & in my son's TJ (strapped upright). Both that I bought were received with a slight dent on the speaker grill. The Styrofoam in the shipping box should have been closed sell foam instead. The Styrofoam in both shipping boxes was crushed & broken with foam all over the carpet on the speaker box. I used packing tape to get it off.
