Wheeler 89 Piece Gunsmithing Screwdriver Set with Durable Construction and Storage Case for Gunsmithing and Maintenance

Great for the money. My son in law loves it.

This is a better than average quality and assortment of various tools used in the gunsmithing trade. I'm not a gunsmith, but as an amateur tinkerer, a local professional gunsmith suggested that I should get these because they would prove useful in my various hobbies. He was right, and I've made extensive use of the tools in the set, despite never having used them on a gun. They're good and useful tools and I recommend any tinkerer worth his salt should have these.

Haven't used the tools yet, but from reading the reviews the only negative thing customers had to say was about the hinges on the box all I can say is that they must have listened because the hinges are very nice and robust. Regarding the tools I was pleasantly surprised to see brand specific tools for gunsmithing ie Rem,Glock, S&W and more. Well thought out and it would cost much more if you had to buy these tools individually. One of those specific tools would cost as much as this whole kit.

This set is an absolute must have for any firearms owner. Not only is it a quality tool set, but the price makes it a no brainer!! Wheeler makes gunsmithing tools and only gunsmithing tools, have been in buisness for decades and knows the proper tools that are needed for firearms. If your going spend thousands of dollars on your firearms do not go to a hardware store and buy tools that are not meant for firearms. These bits are hollow ground so that they actually fit screws properly. Yes, you could save a few bucks on a set similar to these at the hardware store, however once you cam out of the first screw on your firearm and scratch the surface, you haven't saved yourself any money at all. That's why I say this set will pay for itself, in your wallet and for peace of mind. The set has just about any bit you would ever run across, and some bits that depending on your collection you may never use. I highly recommend getting the 21 piece add-on kit for this as well. I really think that should have been included with this set, especially since there is a spot for it in the hard case to begin with. I also recommend the Wheeler FAT Wrench as well, all the bits from this kit can be used with the FAT Wrench. This is definitely one of the best kits out there, especially for the price. Brownells makes the Magna-Tip kit, but with a price tag of $499, I really doubt it's that much better to justify the cost. Just buy this kit and you'll never regret it!!!

A lot of single slotted fittings may be a bit over done...case is flimsy (hinge side) which is a pain...love wheeler products, good price over fix it sticks which I find to be ridiculous

I bought this 89 piece set as a permanent fixture of my work bench.This is a great set of screwdrivers for working on my firearms. Most of the items and projects I work on require a good assortment of hollow ground flat blade drivers. This 89 piece set included 54 flat blades and some of the easily damaged tips are doubled up on (two #1, two #2 bits) for some reason those two sizes I tend to heavily use.I found it interesting that this 89 piece had 54 flat blade tips but the 100 piece set only comes with 28 flat blades. Make sure the set you get is well stocked with the sizes you need. Bigger isn't necessarily better. The 100 piece set does not even include one #1 flat blade.The only reason I didn't give the set 5 stars is that the magnets in the drivers are not as powerful as an older Wheeler driver I have. Although I don't think it will be a problem I would have appreciated a little more secure insertion of the tips.The case seems to be fairly durable and honestly an upgrade over the previous model. I'm not a professional Smith but I think this set will greatly assist in my amateur level projects and tinkering.

You will not be forced to use the wrong tool with this set!Very reasonable priced!I have a couple of gun jobs coming up and having good tools can boost your confidence that the right brings!I have dedicated m’cycle and dedicated bicycle tools along with plumbing, electrical, chain saw, automotive(Ford), and etc. dedicated tools!Don’t be a hack and use the wrong tool!Good tools are an investment!I still have and use my dad’s Craftsman tool box!Both of my wives had their very own tools!

I originally ordered the other one on here, and previously had ordered the digital FAT Wrench from wheeler as well, and the FAT wrench was the newer version and the other screwdriver set was the older version, I wanted them to match (and have the newer set) so I returned the other set and got this one, verifying the SKU# on wheelers’ site, so if you get this listing this is the newer set, not what the listing picture shows, that picture on this listing is the discontinued set BEFORE the other older one I got before. I included a picture so others can see exactly which set you are getting (the newer version, with the updated handles and black phosphate coating to prevent rusting), I assume they just haven’t updated the picture yet.
