The attachment point for the lid fell off immediately.
The little tab that connects the lid to the bladder fell out of the whole the first time I opened it. It doesn't bode well for the construction of this thing that it did that. The Smell when you first get it is pretty bad. But, just put some water in it with 1/2 - a cup of white vinegar in it. Swish it around, let it sit for even just 10mins. Then open the bite valve and let some water rinse through the hose. Then empty the bag and rinse like 4 times. (or more)Smell is gone. Also, I highly recommend keeping all hydration bladders in the freezer. Rinse with vinegar water when you're done using it.. and let it run through the hose. Wash the outside of the bag and hose. Roll it up and stick it in the freezer.

Great bags, no issues
Great bags, no leaks after multiple uses. There seams to be some really dumb reviews by people not understanding how these are meant to work and being mad they don't work in odd ways. They work exactly as they're meant to for placing in a backpack on a hike/ride and drinking from the tube. I think those kinds of reviews are super annoying.Washed with vinegar and hot water to get rid of plastic taste. All will have that so it's not just this one. Taste was good with very little work. After a hike, it's easy to empty what's left. I put them in a bag and put them in the freezer so they don't mold.

Keeping the balance in this sweat machine
I have said it in many other reviews but I will say it again. I SWEAT A LOT. I haven't always been this way but as I have lost weight and become more consistently active my sweat processing plants have went into overdrive. I have always been resistant to the hydration packs in the past because I always had a couple water bottle on the bike frame but nowadays the 2 liters on my back is so much more convenient. I don't have to fiddle with getting a bottle in and out of a cage. I just grab the hose and drink and then let gravity take care of it when I am done.My tip is to fill 1/3 full with water and then using the hose blow the bladder up like a balloon. Place this flat on its back in the freezer and when it is time for the ride add water for a refreshing ice water for your ride.

Excellent! held water leakfree on several hikes at Zion National Park
Both of the products worked perfectly. I owned a Camelbak for years and misplaced it. We were heading over to Zion National Park for 3 days and needed replacements. I bought these and they held up very well on all 3 days. On one trail alone, it was a tough 4 hour hike up the famous Angel's Landing.Wife was very pleased. We LOVE the caps on the end, much more hygienic than our Camelbak version.I will update if these products fail within a year.

Not the best bladder
This was a deal on a 2-pack of bladders. I did not use them immediately, but when I did I found them quite inconvenient to fill since the fill opening is not situated at the top but is down a little. This makes it nearly impossible to fill them up to the 2L mark and get the cover screwed on. And speaking of the screw cover, it has a little (1/2") tether which is connected at the top of the fill opening thereby causing the cover to always flop down over the opening when you are trying to fill up (or empty/clean, etc.). It really needs a longer tether and to be connected at the bottom of the fill opening.Next, the bite valve has a leak. When drawing water there is an air leak which mixes with the water stream and causes you to get about 80% air and 20% water. It drove me crazy trying to figure out where the leak was, but it is definitely coming from the valve (I switched to an older valve I had and it works fine).

These saved my walks!
Exactly what I needed!! I bought these to hold water and Gatorade on the Susan G Komen 3 Day Walk last month. I never get hydrated enough when I need to get bottles from pockets, I will be the first to admit I’m lazy like that. These were perfect, I filled them about halfway since there are so many stations to refill. One held Gatorade and one held water, I put the straws through the top of my backpack and had one hanging on each side. I only got dehydrated one time when I had forgotten to refill before a big hill with no refill stations on it.These literally saved my walk! I have an injury and figured I wouldn’t get very far, but I completed around 30 of 60 miles and had an amazing time. Much better than if I were dehydrated all the time!

Works ok
We've had these bladders for a year now and they are just OK:Pros:held up well under constant use (at least 1x a week)bite valve and bladder hasn't leaked at allfits in our High Sierra backpackseasy to cleanCons:-difficult to fill up because the opening is in the upper front of the bladder. Unless you lay the bladder down and pour water directly into the opening, it's really a chore to fill it without spilling.-doesn't hold 2 liters because there's no way to fill it completely due to the opening being on the front of the bladderFor the price, these aren't bad. But I just ordered two more bladders with openings in the top because they hold way more water and are easier to fill. The top fill bladders were only a couple bucks more each and I recommend sticking with that style.

Holds up to my abuse!
I own two (2) of these. Very happy with them! Just follow the directions and rinse it before use and always remember to let it dry out before storing it away. Especially if you refill with non-city water. Well and river water has a lot of funky things that will grow and take over if left for more than a few weeks. The non-BPA is nice! Great product! Have had zero issues. Nice leak proof mouth piece too! Holds up to my constant abuse. I recommend filling it with warm water and letting it sit for an hour when you first get it. Just to be sure it's clean and no defects (leaks). Never had a problem with this brand or vendor. It's just something you should do to be sure with any of these. I Highly recommend this product.
