Amazing hammock, but buy on Clark Outdoor website, not amazon
So my boyfriend had been looking at the Clark hammocks for months. I finally broke down and bought it for us for an upcoming camping trip. We broke it out to see to find out it was NOT the one he really wanted (He wanted the one that has storage under) but the hammock itself is amazing. it does need a rainfly because the zippers do allow water to get thru (we tested it). My only complaint, and its not amazons fault, its mine for not doing my research, is if you go on the Clarks Outdoor website, this hammock is $389, the one we wanted is around $440, which is the upgraded model to this. ALso, it was not a prime item so had to pay for return shipping (so much!). So the hammock itself is amazing, just buy it on the Clark Outdoors website if you want it.

If you can find the trees, this thing is great!
So far so good - first time hanging it took us literally one minute to build. One recommendation - immediately replace the garbage suspension that comes with the hammock. No idea what Clark was thinking with that. I used the 13ft straps with clips and they work perfectly. I'm coming from years in a Hennessee Hammock, which was great - I just needed a second seat for my ladyfriend. The one issue we had was identification of 3 trees in the proper orientation. Even being surrounded by trees, it took us a solid 15-20 mins of wandering around looking for trees within tolerance. And that was with the upgraded, much more flexible suspension system. Otherwise though, this thing is legit.

Nice Hammock but the stitching makes it look low quality ...
Nice Hammock but the stitching makes it look low quality and quickly made. I believe it’s a bit over priced.

Excellent, well worth the price!
We had purchased a double hammock from Enos and did not like it. We weren't looking for a backpacking hammock but one to replace our tent that we use for camping. We took this with us for our first trip up the coast of California. Nestled in the Redwood's, we used this for 4 nights of camping. It was AWESOME. Best sleep either of us has ever had on a camping trip. That was even after the fact that we still have some work to do setting it up correctly. It will take some practice to setup perfectly but we did fairly well after watching a couple videos and reading the instructions. We used our jeep for the foot end in one of the campgrounds that we stayed in as a band-aid since we didn't have a good third tree on that one. Worked fine, although there is no substitute for some good trees. We strung up the Goal Zero lights inside and it was super cozy. All in all, I'm pretty happy with the hammock, the quality and the comfort of this. We also bought the rain fly (reviewed separately but pretty awesome) and are going to be purchasing the liner for our epic camping trip next month.

Best tent ever!!
This is now our favorite tent to sleep in! We use it backpacking and it takes me(by myself) 2 minutes to setup. I don't like sleeping in other hammocks, they bend my body in half and it's near impossible to sleep two, but this tent solved those issues. We bought tree straps (3) to make life easy and it did, took me 10 minutes to setup the first time using thier ropes, but with the tree straps this tent is sooooo easy to adjust and setup! Camp sites are 3 trees that are on the right formation, so you will be looking at trees differently. Had this almost a year now, Havasupi Falls, Rocky mountains 4 times. I bought a heavier sleeping bag for the mountains due to the hammock's nature.(cold butt and back)

Well worth the money!
This hammock was purchased in the hopes of sharing the outdoors with my fiance. It's pretty much the highest quality hammock I have ever purchased. The construction and materials are top quality and best of all (MADE IN THE USA). I own other hammocks made by competitors and they don't come close in terms of craftsmanship, I know I will have this for years to come. This is the Cadillac of double hammocks and I can't wait to use it again. If your're looking for a double that will blow your mind and make you feel at home outdoors, this is the hammock to buy!

Probably the best two person hammock on the market.
We bought our Vertex about five years ago to use for camping alongside waterways where it wasn't easy to find suitable land for traditional ground tents. It has been absolutely wonderful but it isn't as easy as setting up a ground tent.If you have never used a hammock (like us) I strongly recommend watching all of the youtube videos as well as practicing. Once you get the hang of it, it becomes relatively easy. Instead of tying knots we use Nite Ize Figure 9's which when combined with the drip rings make setup and take down super easy. We use this tent on week long canoeing trips and by the second day setup takes about 10 minutes (after we remind ourselves of the basics). We do not use quilts but the coldest we sleep in is usually 30 degrees (F) so we just lay our extra clothes under the sleeping bag and find that we are toasty. The tent is roomy and each hammock is very independent of each other (you won't necessarily even notice when the other person leaves). The over hanging rain fly allows you to take the tent down in pouring rain (if need be) and keeping the tent and you and your gear completely dry. It has also allowed us to stay dry while making breakfast on rainy mornings. The center section (between the hammocks) is strong enough to hold our 60lb dog who BEGS to go to bed as soon as the hammock is up. Before the dog we stored ALL of our gear in this section. It's super strong with all kinds of organizational pockets.Overall the only real limitations we find are1). Most state parks don't allow hanging.2). There are a few places in this world without trees or rocks. These tent won't work well in those places.3). The hammock actually rolls up into one of it's own pockets and is secured with straps for storage. I believe our straps were sewn on backwards so we have to use an external strap to keep everything packed nicely.
