Backyard Discovery Silverton 14 x 10 All Cedar Pergola with Electric

I ordered the pergola back in March with a delivery date in April. Everything went as planned with no issues. My delivery was with CEVA and although they could not deliver inside the gate, the driver placed the 3 shipping boxes/490 lbs in the driveway where I could work out of them. I did a quick inventory and only found one item damaged (table brace was cracked). Each box came with an inventory which I used when picking parts for the assembly steps. I reviewed both the written assembly manual and browsed the BILT app assembly instructions. I found the written manual to be my choice for the assembly. Overall, the assembly was very easy to complete. I completed most of the assembly by myself and found working without the saw horses easier for me. I did have help when raising the four posts, but that was it. I completed the assembly in ~8-10 hours over a 4 day period. You absolutely must have an electric drill and sturdy ladder. Read the instructions and don't skip a step trying to get ahead. Note that you need to keep an eye on the location of pilot holes. Some aren't noted in the instruction. I worked from the shipping containers picking items as needed to complete each assembly step. Once I had the four post raised and the rafters installed I placed cardboard under the posts to help me move it around, square, and check the level. I still have the tables to install, touch up stain, seal and fasten to the footers to complete the assembly. I haven't completed a final check on all the hardware, but this thing is very sturdy once assembled. The color of the stain along with the bolt patterns gives it a nice rustic look. I did contact BYD about the cracked table brace and within hours they responded to my email letting me know the piece was being FEDEX'd to my house. I'm very satisfied and would recommend the Silverton Pergola.

I was pleasantly surprised at how well designed and easy to assemble the pergola was. I only had one major problem. We accidentally installed the vertical panel part of the bar assembly, upside down. Easy to do! So, if you are assembling this, read the instructions very carefully. By the time we realized what we had done, we had already installed both tables. Disassembling them is no easy task. Other than our mistake, assembly was easy. This pergola is beautiful and well constructed. I would buy it again in a heart beat.

This is beautiful for your backyard. However, for a cheaper price you can get something almost exactly the same at Sams Club. The only difference is you wouldn’t have the bar table attached to it. We do enjoy it though and the bar table does come in handy, but for the price I think if I could go back in time then I would of just got the one at Sam’s Club for a cheaper price with out h to e bar table.

With help from my son-in-law and daughter we seniors are able to enjoy this beautiful sturdy pergola. You do need at least three strong persons to set up.

Quality of wood and hardware subpar but is a beautiful design. Need to have more quality control assome pieces had damage to edges. May have occurred during shipment as two of the three boxes were damaged and then re-rapped on ends. Installation instructions were easy to follow. Company needs to include 1” hole plugs for top rafters connection area so rain does not collect leading to wood deteriorating prematurely.

Beautiful and was really easy to put together. I wish they would make the drivers longer, it was hard to get the screws in and had to rig up and extender. I purchased one after and made sure everyone was snug.The entire unit is beautiful assembled. Our neighbors have complimented us on how beautiful it is.

almost every piece of wood came broken. Hardware didnt even come in the intial shipment. We had to call and have them fedex it to us. When the hardware did come and we could start putting it together, we noticed many of the wood was split or chipped. I took over 30 pictures to send to amazon to try and get our money back or get it replaced. the 30 pictures were of 30 different places where the wood split, was chipped or broken. The hardware was so cheap, you could not even screw it in all the way and it was a pain just to get it halfway put together. We gave up halfway before realizing it was not the quality for the amount of money paid. The wood feels incredibly cheap and the hardware was even worse. save your money and buy elsewhere. The only reason we got two stars is because amazon took care of us when we gave up and wanted our money back. Even that was a hassle in its own just to do that. Just glad we didnt lose out on $1500 for this crappy pergola. Looks nice in the pictures but not nice in real life. NOT WORTH THE MONEY! also, seems like a gust of wind would blow this over. The wood is hollow and not even sturdy.
