Absolurecommed this if you are new to Torah, or if you just want to see how connected the Bible is from cover to cover.Rob Skiba has been one of my favorite teachers for many years now because he might give his opinion and interpretation, but he always says, “Don’t take my word for it. Do the research and come to your own conclusion.”That said, Wisdom from the Torah is not commentary. Each week, you have a Torah portion, haftarah (prophets), and Brit Hadasha (New Testament.)In our house, I hold the book (can’t afford 8 of them for all of us). I write each weeks scripture readings on our marker board. Every member is responsible for getting their readings completed by Sabbathday. Then, on Sabbathday we gather in the mornings, or sometimes after lunch and go through each portion.We have loved the prompting questions and learning to see the connectedness of Scripture.Yahuah has blessed Rob with the ability to put things together. The only thing I’d want added to this book is some portions from Poetry each week. There’s so much prophecy throughout Scripture, it seems a pity to leave out the poetic portion.
