Worked great!
Installed this on an RC truck wheel with a magnet glued to inner rim. Read it into an Arduino Mega with a library code using I2C interface to get ground speed (wheel rotations). Worked like a charm!

Nice confined setup
First order came and only 3 of the hall sensors worked. Sent back and they sent me 6 more. 5 of them worked.

Bad quality control
I needed non-latching hall effect sensor modules. Out of the 6 modules, 1 was Latching, 3 were non-latching, and 2 didn't work.

Very cool
Not only did these work well, the electromagnetic concept they demonstrate is trippy

A good sensor works great, but expect only about 28% of these to be good
I bought a set of these sensors to find out if they would work for detecting operational cars in a model railroad. I knew from reviews that yield could be questionable, but I only needed one so that didn't concern me. The sensor turned out to work so well that I decided to replace the IR sensors I had been using on my test track to detect train positioning (too finicky, too many adjustments needed, too sensitive to light) with these. All six sensors I received performed as expected, worked reliably, and didn't require periodic adjustments -- definitely a 5-star experience. So I told my friend to order these for the room-sized rail yard we are building at his place. That's when we started experiencing what has been covered in several reviews. A good sensor works reliably, and once installed seemingly never has to be dealt with again. But a lot of them don't function as expected as they latch instead of only signaling when a magnet is over the sensor. I was concerned over whether a working sensor might become latching at some point, but I've yet to see a working sensor fail, even after I inadvertently reversed the +5v and -5v wires on one. Of the 72 my friend ordered only 21 worked as expected. From a second order of 60 only 16 performed as expected. That gives an overall yield of 28% on a sample of 132 parts. In my mind that's a one-star product, except that we've been able to get a refund on the bad parts without any problem so I figure it evens out to somewhere in the middle. Bottom line, if you don't mind ordering 3-4 times the number of sensors actually needed and are fine dealing with returns, I would highly recommend these sensors. Just be prepared to screen them before installation.

Worth the price
Works amazing. Use smaller magnets for more percision

high DOA rate
3 of 6 sensors received were faulty, latching on pole swaps, as indicated elsewhere in the reviews. How it is possible to mess up a hall sensor, I don't know, nonetheless, be willing to accept high "dead on arrival" rate if ordering. **two stars vs *one, because half of them I received do work, and I only need one, and I expected the fails from reading reviews.
