Very cost effective

Wasted money is not a working ancient old thing.
Absolutely useless and disgustingly working outdated reader. There is no driven recording software and does not work with any other applications.

Drivers but no software
Machine is... finicky, has to be unplugged and plugged back in a lot, the drivers work but there is no actual software for reading anything. The device shows up in devices but not in file explorer so this device would only be useful as a replacement for a failed drive where the computer already had a smart card reader installed. There is some software with it but it is more of a template for someone writing their own software.
