Tough watch
Great watch but a bit expensive for a quartz movement. It’s durable and it has a sapphire crystal but the strap isn’t very comfortable. I have a suunto alpha travers with a nylon strap that’s much more comfortable, but that’s an easy fix. They offer lots of oem straps at their site. The lume is quite good for an watch of this caliber. If you are looking for a workhorse field watch it’s a god choice.

Not Happy
this is my second return, no more! they do not light up at night. you would think that the factory would have some quality control. i wanted to buy made in the USA, but not this watch. the design was perfect but for the lighted hands not working, it was an expensive watch! very disappointed.

Great field watch
I have 50+ watches and I would say this one is one of my favorites. Very easy to read. Light weight and ruged. I had a similar Bertucci that was considerably less expensive but with a mineral crystal. I liked it enough that it was worth it to me to purchase this one with the sapphire crystal. The mineral crystal just looked cloudy.

Worth every penny
Item safely arrived as estimated. Feels lightweight on the wrist, but the build & finishes is solid. Looked kinda small at first, but starting to love it eventually. Love the lume! Will glow more than 20mins with just a few seconds of phone screen charge, but not that vivid & strong as sunlight.

Beautiful design with well-balanced proportions and a very solid feel. An American original!
This is my fourth Bertucci watch in two years. I love the fact that they are a micro-brand who produce attractive, original designs on a very familiar theme (i.e. the field watch) and yet still manage to be affordable for customers who have to import their goods from the USA (i.e. us lot here in the UK).The quality of the components and the general build and finish are very good for the money and the breadth of their range (in terms of case size, materials, finishes, dials, strap widths etc.) is very impressive. As for this particular model, the A-2S Ballista, it is the most 'complete' watch of theirs that I have owned so far. I say this because I find the overall design to be the most visually pleasing (personal taste) and the dial is one the easiest to read that I have ever had on a watch (of any size). The hands and indices are painted such a vibrant white colour that they really stand out in most lighting conditions and make this watch far easier to read than its sister watch, the A-2SEL (with the off-white dial and black-bordered hands). In terms of comfort, this case design has one small flaw in that (on my wrist at least) the top right corner tends to dig into the wrist a little bit and leaves me with a red 'divot' mark for a couple of hours after I've taken it off. Your mileage may very though, as they say.The lume is blue, as opposed to the usual green and whilst it does actually as look as good as Bertucci's publicity photos once you first charge it up, it will fade down to a lower level quite quickly. That said, it can last a good 7 or 8 hours and still be just visible in total darkness. It's not as good as my Citizen divers watches were, but it's better than all of my other Bertuccis and all of my cheaper (Chinese) watches. One final point. Unlike most other Bertucci models, this one actually has removable strap bars that would allow you to fit a 2-piece strap. However, these screw-in bars are much thicker than ordinary spring bars (about 2.5mm I would guess) and so will not fit through just any watch strap. You would either need to buy and especially designed one (like those for Panerai watches, for instance), or find a way to widen the holes for the spring bars yourself (without tearing the strap). If you want a field watch that is tough, practical and a little bit different to the rest of the herd, I would recommend that you give Bertucci a closer look - it's a lot of design/build for not a lot of money!
