Beadaholique WLNA Waxed Irish Linen 1mm Necklace or Knotting Cord, 50 yd, Natural Beige

I cut to length for each custom bookmark I create. A few beads and or charms at each end gives a nice weight to them. My book shelves look like a jewelry shop with crystals and beads and such peeking out above all of my old favorites that I still just can't part with. I love the waxed linen cord the most. It doesn't make any imprint on my finest books, nor does the bookmark distort the pages like let's say, crochet bookmarks can. The big plus is the limitless range of colors and styles from which one may draw. Fast and charming gifts as well when you gift books, it's a nice touch. There's a small learning curve but easy and ultra rewarding for the minutes spent...Be nice. There is no substitute! Bye now

This type of thread was recommended for shoe making. Initially it had a good feel but broke twice during my stitching and had to remove the thread and start over. Linen thread is ordinarily quite strong and this is not. More wax than linen. Poor quality. This thread might be useful for light projects but impractical for anything else. Might make a good candle wick

I've been using this to make different types of beaded bracelets (braided, macrame knotted, etc.) with seed beads (and even chan luu and some other styles) and it's amazing. It is easy to work with, and the fact that it's pre-waxed is great because it allows the beads to slide much easier, it has slight tack to it so it sticks just the tiniest bit to whatever surface you are working on in a pinch (or it can stick to itself, which is nice when tying knots or twisting), and it will even kink a little bit. Most of these things are not enough reason alone to buy this, they're just fringe benefits, but I've used paper cord, hemp, and leather, and the only competitor to this is honestly the leather. But for the price? I'm sticking with this stuff. It's amazing. I like the feel of it much better, it's strong, and I feel less guilty when I have to trim some off at the end because I didn't pay an arm and a leg to buy it. It comes in black and brown too. Why go back to leather? I'm staying with waxed Irish linen.Also, the company that stocks this (or did when I bought it) Beadaholique, has absolutely AMAZING tutorials. They're really helpful. Hopefully I won't get in trouble for saying that, but watching their YouTube vids and using their site helped me go from knowing absolutely nothing, to being able to make jewelry like it's a reflex, so...I think they deserve a little shout-out ;)

This is a reasonably priced thread but if you're using a stitching pony, you may wish to get thicker one as this has a tendency to break if pulled too hard but should work well for most normal applications.

I use this waxed linen cord for bookbinding. It is no longer sold in stores near me, and this is exactly what I needed.

Very nice waxed string. I use for making wind chimes for outside. However, the photo used is not what you will get it’s much smaller roll.

Yes, it’s waxed. Very waxed. But it’s not lovely waxed linen floss - it sticks, looks messy immediately and reminds me more of dental floss than pretty linen floss.

Bought this so my daughter could make a dream catcher to use as a Christmas present. The waxed linen is perfect for this and was really easy to work with and the final product was beautiful. I highly recommend this waxed Irish linen.
