It was a great read!!
I was so disappointed when I finally got to the end, because I WANTED MORE!!!!There were some small editorial mistakes that could have been caught, but the overall message of the story was captured perfectly. I loved every character the whole way through! When I was hoping for a cameo of Lena and Ethan, the action drove me to root for Ridley (what, actually root for her?) and Link!!!!I need to know what happens next! I recommend it for all fans of Beautiful Creatures!

Dangerous Creatures (series book 1)
The story starts with a campfire setting. Lena, Ethan, John, Liv, Ridley, and Link are all at this campfire to say goodbye to one another before heading off to college , New York, and Oxford England. Lena casts a spell of protection for the group that bears them six beautiful rings to wear that lets them know when anyone is in need of help. Ridley and Link discover the rings change color when they are in need of help. Ridley comes clean with Link about losing him to Lennox Gates in a card game as a drummer for the band along with owing one more house marker that is good for up to one whole year. This house marker was dangerous because Lennox Gates could ask Ridley to do anything and she would have to follow through. Lennox Gates finds himself wanting to protect Ridley from dying so he begins to do everything in his power to try and protect her but accidentally makes his necromancer sick. He takes care of his necromancer then proceeds with his plans to save Ridley by burning down his club Sirene. Ridley and Link are on the road when a truck hits them from behind.

Waiting for the next one.
Not the best of the series, but still worth the read if you liked the characters in the earlier books. This seems a bit like an obligatory book to set up the next effort. I don't think that it can stand on its own, but if it is followed by a strong effort in the next book, it'll be OK. If not, it may mark the decline of the story. The biggest problem may be how much time passes before the next book arrives. If it is too long, my interest may wane.

Team NOX!
Oh, to be back in the lives of Rid and Link again. I loved seeing them in a new setting, surrounded by new and interesting people. The peeks into Rid's childhood exposed me to another side of her and gave her character more dimension. I cannot lie, I sort of liked Nox, a lot, by the end of the book. HOWEVER, the end was cruel. I cannot wait for the next book.On a side note, this series has taken on a new meaning from me after having the opportunity to attend a release event with the authors. These are some amazing women, with so much passion and depth. I love them. I want to be their friend and I think they should have a talk show.

Original and Full of Suspense
This book begins a second series, following the Beautiful Creatures tetralogy. I had thoroughly enjoyed the first tetralogy, but as part of its charm was its setting in a small Southern, very conservative town, I wondered whether this new novel, set in New York City could possibly be as appealing. I need not have been concerned. I love the originality of the fantasy elements, the setting is skillfully drawn, and the characters are both appealing and enigmatic. I’m looking forward to reading the remaining novels in this series.

Does not live up to the Beautiful Creatures series
Ridley and Link are not main characters. They are excellent supporting characters but they just can't pull off a whole story. Up front disclosure, I am an adult who thoroughly enjoyed the Beautiful Creatures books. I could not put them down. This book was a big disappointment. I just couldn't care about Ridley. She is not a character that you can root for and everything seemed really forced. The beginning of the book implies that the other Gaitlin characters will be showing up and I kept reading figuring that the book would get better once the old gang was back together. I'm sure it will happen, it just didn't happen in this book. And the book ends with a cliffhanger. I'm not sure when the next one comes out but I'm not really sure that I care (except that I imagine Lena and Ethan will show up in that book)

dark casters are funner!
so oh my god! I love all the beautiful creature books, but I think I love this one the most! it's a whole new take on Rid the famous Siren! and who doesn't love a bad siren! we learn a lot about her pasted and how she became so cold, or alest so alone. and we learn of another siren who has no choice but to bring Rid and link to the center stage and hand them over to the most powerful dad guy ever.. Ravenwood. and then end leaves us hungging ! another book on it's way!

Was so happy to see Ridley and Linkubus return, I loved their chemistry and really enjoyed getting to know them better through a fast and fun story. Im assuming the ending is not what it seems to be (the old gang are sure to come together to right all wrongs?) and the intro of magical rings connecting them was great, and should make for a fab set of books with all the main characters getting their shot at the limelight.Really enjoyed this book.

Dangerous Creatures
Wow. What a great book. I love how Link get the chance to be a rock star in New York. I love the Latin casts and the French sentences. A great book from the authors Kami Garcia and Margaret Stohl.
