This LED fixture is perfect for mounting over-the-sink.The light emitted is comparable to a 100 - 150 watt bulb.Installation is simple, although the mounting screws do not line up with a standard ceiling outlet box.One must anchor the unit into the ceiling panel with 3 screws and wall anchors.The unit has no switch, and a wall switch or other switch must be utilized.The opaque plastic lens twists off for easy removal and cleaning.

Mine is mounted 100% flush to the wall of my skylight cutout without an issue--perhaps the design has changed since the reviews that commented about lack of flush mounting.Light output is higher than I expected at this lumens level, evenly distributed, and a pleasant soft white. Thumbs up for that.One star off, though, because my LED-compatible Lutron switch (in 3-way configuration) can't dim this supposedly dimmable fixture. There's another LED on the same circuit that dims just fine. I'm going to try installing a different switch, and perhaps it's because I'm using it in a 3-way application, but I'm disappointed that this won't dim with my existing wiring. And, as others reported, there's a ~1 second delay turning on but it's not really a big deal to me.

After trying a few of the ready-to-install LED ceiling fixtures, I am happiest with this one. The color is rich and warm. The dispersal is perfect. When you flick the switch, it takes about 500ms for the light to come on, that's a capacitor circuit charging up to make sure there is no flickering like there was in all my other fixtures I tried. You can't dim it, but I've grown weary of getting any fixture to dim without showing some level of flicker. You can't avoid it, LEDs dim by lowering the duty cycle of the power, so the LED literally turns off for a time. Spreading that out so you can't see it is essentially impossible. It's not like incandescents, which you could dim by lowering the voltage or the duty cycle, and get very little flicker. Buy this fixture, install it in 5 minutes, and you're done. Don't forget to sell that expensive dimmer switch on ebay!

First off, I'm a handy person and have tackled many house projects. Unfortunately, this light frustrated me to no end and I cannot recommend it. The mount is an absolute joke! It's a thin metal bar that you're supposed to flush-mount to the ceiling but, for whatever reason, GE chose not to give you holes that line up with the electrical box. So, you're forced to drill more holes in your ceiling. Then when you try to line up the side slots on the light to actually mount it, it's nearly impossible and you WILL still have a gap between the ceiling and the light (no matter what you do). Lastly, there's a very annoying 1.5 second delay when you flip this light on, and there's no ground wire! Seriously, DO NOT BUY. If I had to guess, I'd say all the other positive reviews must have been paid for because no sane person would enjoy installing this light.

Love these lights ! Had a friend install in no time at all. He told me it was very simple. And the light is fantastic. I have two in my garage, and one in my office. Lights up the entire areas very well !

Pros: bright, soft light, good color.Cons: Seriously flawed installation sequence. Fixture installs to a bracket that must be screwed to the ceiling. This means that the fixture (not heavy, or breakable, at least) ends up hanging from the wire connections while you get the screws to attach it to the bracket. In order to insert the bracket screws, one needs to get ones eye right below the ceiling. After the unit is installed, there is no way to adjust the attachment - one simply reverses the annoying steps and then re-installs. Finally, there is no tolerance for anything less than a flush junction box - fine for new construction, but be aware of this when replacing existing fixtures.

Okay, I ordered this product for an outdoor but enclosed bathroom. Since it was branded GE, I thought it would have some substance to it. However, it is made with a brittle plastic frame that was cracked in two places by the time it got to us. Since it is LED and doesn't get hot and the ceiling is very high, we installed it anyway which was also tricky because of the way it is designed. I would not recommend it if you are interested in quality.

This light fixture is Great!!! Very bright and only 15 Watts! Installed Two in large attic, it was dark now it lights up very nicely.
