I was slightly apprehensive about buying an off brand GPS unit initially. But after having received the product, and tested it out, I'm delighted by my purchase.One of my main apprehensiond was the fact that I didn't know how up-to-date the GPS would be. My fears were assanged by the fact that with this purchase, we get lifetime, live map updates forever. I no longer that we could 24/7 access to help. I've already used this help Justin mapping out my first trip which is scheduled for the summer.it turns out it was pretty easy to be able to navigate a route from the homepage. And I'm not that technically savvy. My sister, who has a Garmin, mapped out the same route back to Massachusetts. It turned out my route was about an hour and 14 minutes shorter than hers!Additionally, and I didn't even notice when I purchased it, but in addition to being a GPS unit it can also be used as a little TV when in route for downloaded movies etc.For the price I think it was a astronomical find and I would absolutely recommend it.

It's been a few years since we have had a GPS navigation system. With the introduction of GPS on cell phones, we didn't think we needed a newer version until most recently. We do alot of hiking and backpacking to very remote places. However, lots of those places don't have cell phone towers, so we have gotten lost too many times. My husband suggested we buy a new GPS navigation system. I saw this one at a great price, and decided to buy it after reading the reviews. I am so glad that I bought this, because this GPS navigation system has everything we need...and it offers free updates for life! It offers several different modes, so you can use it in 2D or 3D mode. It has a large 7" screen, which is much bigger than our last TomTom and Garmin GPS navigation devices. The screen and graphics are crystal clear, and turn-by-turn directions use a real voice and you can choose among 40 different languages. This system is super easy to use, that even my 10 year old can program . It also automatically switches to night time mode, so you don't have to while you are driving as well. The GPS navigation system also comes with its own mounting brackets and a USB cable so that you can charge it before you use it or charge it while you are driving. Great high-quality product!

In the age of google maps, if you are like me, who still has to have a dedicated GPS device in your car then this device might be for you. Much much cheaper than the garmin devices, and work really great.This device came with a fully updated map, and the manual says you can contact the seller if and when an update is needed. That apparently have a dedicated website for it.One thing I liked is that it comes with a sun shade, which will be helpful to see the screen on sunny days.

I believe the one I received was a return. I reset to factory settings and it connected to satellite right away. I put in a familiar address and it showed directions no problem. I read the reviews that said they got money to write a good review. I did not. I bought this for a gift and because of negative comments I tried it first. It works. That's all I ask of it! All the other bells and whistles are a bonus. I am sure it will be appreciated. I am pleased with this product.

I have always used a GPS made by one of the “big” names, but this GPS is by far the best I have ever had and/or used! I was a bit skeptical at first because of the price, but after using it now for several weeks, I would buy it again, even if it cost more than the big name brand. The only complaint I have is the same complaint I have about all stand alone GPS’s......they are not loud enough to hear clearly in the cab of my diesel truck! This GPS however, gives so much easy to see and understand information on the screen, that the voice prompts are really not needed. Nice when I can hear them, but not really missed when I can’t

Although i have a high end phone and can be used as GPS as well while driving. However, i still prefer a dedicated GPS system in my car. I have a ford focus with a standard music system so i cant run without a GPS, i had a garmin which stopped working last month, i got this GPS from amazon and it worked even better than Garmin, it has a lot more features than Garmin, its more like a tablet. The positioning is accurate and screen is bright enough to be used during the day driving. Would recommend.

This GPS system isn’t great, isn’t horrible, it is simply... okay. I wouldn’t even say that it’s an incredible value, like many of these other reviews read. 10 years ago, yes- this would be an incredible option at a great price. Nowadays GPS systems like this don’t even come close to a match for most smart phones. I bought this to use with my motorcycle because the screen is large and when I use the GPS on my phone, incoming text messages and phone calls disrupt the navigation, crowd the screen, etc.… but with a unit like this, there is always an annoying set up time, where you have to sit in your car (or on your motorcycle) and type in painstakingly detailed addresses- Hunt for a few minutes for the correct place... I find myself more often than not locating the specific address on my phone and then typing it into the GPS unit… Yes it kind of sucks when you’re used to the speed and accuracy of Google Maps on a 4G network.Also, The battery in this thing is complete garbage and basically useless… The first night I had it, I let it charge overnight. It lasted literally five minutes before I had to stop, pull over, grab the power cord out of my backpack and hook it up… Honestly I don’t even know why there’s a battery in it. Hooked up to the AC adapter, it also sucks A TON of juice from your battery- DO NOT screw around with this thing too long if your car or motorcycle is off. It killed my battery in less than five mins.So anyway, keep these things in mind… It’s not the greatest thing in the world like most of these reviews state. It’s fine, it gets the job done… But it doesn’t even come close to comparing to what most of us are now used to.
