Aquascape 91132 EcoWave 3000 GPH Mag-Drive Pond and Waterfall Pump, Black

I recently had a failure on my EcoWave 2000, which came with the Aquascape kit. I felt from the beginning that the 2000 was not quite large enough, so I was not surprised by the failure after 4 years of continuous use. I run them year round, 24/7 on my pond with a skimmer/filter system. I swore that I'd replace with a larger pump, and this pump did not disappoint. There is a noticeable increase in flow, and I feel that this pump is appropriate for the size of my pond. I can actually hear the waterfall from a distance, and the flow is perfect.

We expanded our fish pond this summer and needed a bigger pump. This monster fit the bill perfectly! It's super-strong and has a nice long cord. The extra fittings were a bit *extra* for us, but nice to have just in case.

The eco wave was a third less in cost and uses less electricity. Per the specs I should save $10 a month

Do not purchase this pump, I will never purchase another Aquascape product. I’ve had pond for several years now and I bought cheaper pumps. They last a little over a year some make it two years so I bought this mag drive pump for the fountain in the picture and it quit working a little over a month after I bought it, I called Aquascape and they will not help you and they will not stand behind their product. They told me that that is not the right size pump for that fountain, because the fountain was also aquascape brand. And they said that because I used a larger size tubing which fits over there adapter that it caused too much head pressure and that caused the unit to fail prematurely, and I said on your website, it shows the amount of lift for the pump and I did not exceed the amount of lift, and there is no tubing size requirement. I said you mean to tell me a 4000 gallon per hour pump can’t lift water 3 feet ? The diameter of the water coming out of the pump is the same as the tubing that you recommend but because it’s flowing into a tube that’s 3.5 ft long and a little bigger that caused failure according to them and us not warrantied. They will weasel their way out of the warranty just like other reviews on here that receive no reply. Do not spend a dime on an Aquascape product that they will not stand behind , they have a very nice corporate building in the USA but they are not consumer friendly. The woman was very rude on the phone. Thank goodness Amazon let me return outside window.

This pump arrived fast and works great! We bought the same one in 2019 and had to replace after almost 5 years.

We have a small Koi pond with two waterfall pumps. One failed, and the replacement didn't work out of the box. I happened to come across this pump on another site and it seemed more than capable of pumping the short vertical distance we needed. Took about 15 minutes to replace the failed pump. I have no way to measure the energy savings, but I'll take the manufacturers word. What I can't evaluate is how long this pump will last (the previous one lasted close to ten years). If it fails in the near future, I will update this review.

I purchased an Ecowave 3000 Pond pump September 18,2018. They have a 3 year warranty. Mine died September 21,2021. Darn the luck. I needed a new pump for the koi pond. So glad with the fast shipment! As I unpack it I noticed on the label on the cord that the new Ecowave 4000 was manufactured the end of 2018. It makes me wonder if I received an other than new pump. I can't see a company this large having stock on hand for 3 years. With my 1st pump dying days after the warranty expiring, I'm a bit curious what is going to happen with the new one. I'm installing it tomorrow. I will update review as needed.
