Loved it but returned it
I was travelling to Europe for the 1st time, and spending 3 weeks riding trains, planes, and on foot. Was going to be in pick pocket areas. We were trying to travel "light" meaning, a small 20 inch suitcase (for 3 weeks!) and a personal bag. I bought multiple purses. First off, the Citysafe 100 bag was very good, and I may re order it, but it wasn't big enough to be a carry on for the plane, or for when I was lugging everyone's stuff on our site seeing trips. But as a purse, it is perfect. This 400 is way too big. Would be fabulous as a carry on (and has the luggage slide to let it ride on a suit case handle, but was just too big.) I ended up keeping and using the 200. It (200) is too big for a purse, and too little for a carry on, but it worked for both of those uses...just wasn't "perfect" for either use. But for the features of these bags in general...5 Stars, all the way. They DO NOT GET DIRTY! I was laying this purse in liquids, got into rain, drug it around for 22 days. Sat it on the ground most of the time. It looks brand new. It was comfortable wearing cross body (the 200 loaded with stuff.packed full). Also, I tried a bag from Ebags that had tons of little pockets, but stuff got lost in the pockets and I could never find my items. Too many pockets and the fabric was "flimsy." These Pacsafe bags have firm pockets, which is nice. You stick your hand in, and can go directly to your item without "fishing." That alone made me feel safer and not like a bumbling tourist. I could find items without looking, and thus could keep my eyes on the people standing next to me while I opened my purse and got stuff out. Awareness of your surroundings will keep you safest. I only used the locking features when we were in areas that were active with pick pockets (Eiffel Tower, train to the Eiffel tower, etc). They (pick pockets) aren't that careful and are very brazen and you really will know when you should hug your purse tight. I usually just swung it towards the front of me and had both hands on the purse. And had it zipped of course. I had items that weren't vital in the regular zippered areas (guide map). But ID, money, etc I kept in secure areas. I can't say enough about these Pacsafe bags. The hardest part is choosing which bag works for your situation. Now that I am back, I have several nice purses, but I really enjoy the ease of this bag and so am still using it (the 200)...I just don't want to carry around the 200....which is why I might purchase this 100 again. Of all the bags (100, 200, 400) I bought them all in the blue, and it has yellow lining. Makes it easy to see items inside, and you don't notice the yellow color unless you open it wide and look in. It is a subtle interior color. The blue was a dusty blue and looks pretty true to the photos. It was a good all around color. I do recommend you purchase a purse 3 or so weeks before your trip so you can try it out. I really thought I would like the Ebag that I bought, (I'm still using it) but it literally has so many different hidden pockets, I am constantly trying to find my keys and iphone. And it's a small purse! I knew immediately it was NOT the purse to have on a vacation, simply because half of your time would be searching for your items. In fact, I had it packed up to return and then decided to keep it, and found a pocket with my personal items still in it.. I would have returned it with lipstick and a nail file. I know I have reviewed 4 bags in this review, but if you want a safe, nice, comfortable purse/bag...this is it. Your decision will be on the "Size." The 400 is good for a carry on and a super large purse. I am not a Large purse person, so I felt awkward with it. (Im 5'1" and 130 lbs. It hung between my hips and knees. and looked large on me. A taller woman could pull it off better.) If my children were still in diapers...I would have chosen the 400 as it is a classy looking purse/diaper bag/carry on. The other main thing, these bags were comfortable across the shoulder even when loaded. The photos that show a mannequin wearing the bags is a good reference to the size of them. It is a bag that you don't have to worry about. And that is a good thing. Good luck!

Love it!
This is my fifth security travel bag and third from PacSafe, the other two being the Pacsafe CitySafe 200 Anti-Theft Hand Bag and the Pacsafe Stashsafe 200 Anti-Theft Hip Pack, Black. I wanted a cross-body bag and for it to be cavernously large for carrying my usual assortment of travel items like my notepad, camera, mini tripod, monocular/binoculars, water bottle, folding umbrella, and pareo plus air travel comfort items such as lumbar and neck pillows in addition to my small travel survival kit that fits into a waist pack like the StashSafe 200 or Mountainsmith Lumbar-Classic Series Nitro TLS R Backpack (Heritage Black) or about half of a gallon zip bag with the top half folded down. Because some museums and stores require large bags to be checked, I also bought a Baggallini Luggage Everything Bag Crinkle to easily take my wallet items, camera, monocular, and cell phone with me. It all fits! This particular hobo bag, which I got with a standard water-repellent jet black exterior and celadon interior (it's supposed to be lemon yellow, but I've never seen a ripe lemon this green) that makes it easier to see items inside, has an outside back pocket with a zipper at the bottom edge to allow the extended handle of wheeled luggage to slip through; there is an interior band to stabilize the bag. Like the rear pocket of the CitySafe 200 bag, this pocket's zipper doesn't need a secure closure if it's held against the body as designed. Having to empty the pocket in order to mount the bag on wheeled luggage means it isn't feasible to use for valuable documents, anyway. The generous pockets at either end of the bag have cord locks to make the openings smaller so contents won't slip out and are more than large enough for a 1 liter bottle. The pocket that would be out of sight at the rear when it's carried as a shoulder bag has a D-ring inside at the top and at the bottom to secure items using my own utility carabiners or other fasteners to thwart pickpockets. The padded strap, that has wires inside to prevent slash-and-run theft, may be detached at one end to secure the bag temporarily to a fixed object to foil a bag snatcher. The snap hook has a locking collar as an additional deterrent. The other end has a snap hook to secure the zipper pull of the bag's main compartment to stop a pickpocket from opening it.The strap may be snapped up to make it shorter to convert the bag into a shoulder bag or left long to use the bag as a hip-length cross-body bag.Because I tend to heavily load my travel bag and because the wires of the unpadded CitySafe 200 strap dig into my shoulder painfully, I went ahead and attached a black Timbuk2 Gripster Strap Pad over the CitySafe 400 GII's too thin-looking shoulder pad without even first trying it by itself. YMMV.Inside the main compartment is a variety of pockets. Along the front wall, that is the inside wall of the front of the bag, there is a zippered pocket, 7" W x 14.5" L, with a press hook fastener to hold anything like a key ring.Below the zipper of that pocket is a line of:1. A split key ring to which I attached one of the mini LEDs, 10 X LED MINI MICRO BLACK KEYCHAIN KEY RING SUPER FLASH BRIGHT FLASHLIGHT WHITE LIGHT, to help me see what's inside the bag.2. A pocket, 4.5" W x 5.25" L.3. A pocket, 3.25" W x 5.25" L.4. A pocket, 4.25" W x 5.25" L, labeled "RFIDsafe" to hold passport and credit cards containing RFID chips to prevent identity theft.5. A fat pen pocket, 0.75" W x 5.25" L.6. A fatter pen pocket, 1.25" W x 5.25" L, that will hold a standard highlighter if inserted cap down. Those wishing the pockets could be closed can put their own self-adhesive Velcro coins or strips available from wherever sewing notions are sold.Along the interior rear wall, there is one large pocket, 10" W x 15" L, that the enclosed literature says will hold a 13" laptop and an iPad or similar tablet. I found it holds my 15" laptop snugly. There's a strap that snaps over the top of the opening to ensure it doesn't slip out.The bag's front, back, side, and bottom panels are all lined with eXomesh to prevent thieves from slashing the bag to let the contents fall out. The included literature has a diagram of the eXomesh rising to just under the top edge of the side pockets. On the front and rear panels, I can feel the top edge of the eXomesh about five inches up from the bottom, about three inches lower than in the side panels. I appreciate this sensible weight-saving design since gravity prevents items from falling up.Overall, I'm exceptionally pleased with this bag. Purchased in January for travel to cities known for pickpockets and purse snatchers and slashers such as Barcelona, I've expanded its use to ordinary weekend getaways and other domestic travel.

(1) Luggage sleeve is too big to fit securely; ...
(1) Luggage sleeve is too big to fit securely; and (2) there is no dedicated exterior zipper. I bought this bag because I wanted a tote with a luggage sleeve to attach to a suitcase. The "luggage sleeve" is actually the exterior zipped compartment. The bag is designed so that the exterior zipped compartment has a zipper on top and a zipper on bottom. The zippers are very wide, making the luggage sleeve too big to secure to a suitcase. As a result, the bag constantly flops around and falls off a suitcase. In addition, if you use the compartment as a luggage sleeve, you lose the use of the exterior compartment as storage. In other words, in order to use the luggage sleeve during a trip, you have to have the bottom exterior zipper open. If you close the bottom zipper, to use the compartment for storage, then you have to empty the compartment to use it again as a luggage sleeve. On one trip, I didn't realize the bottom zipper was open, my contents fell out.
