Smart Caregiver - Floor Mat Alarm System for Preventing Falls & Wandering

I have ordered this product a couple of times and it has been great but just recently they changed the package deal. It is no longer sent with the alarm itself, you have to buy it separately, which they don't inform you of. It was easier and cheaper to buy the package as a whole bundle and I will be moving on to find a retailer that sells the pad and the alarm as a package deal.

Excellent product. The mat fits right in front of my mom's recliner. The monitor which i also like, unfortunately, is sold separately through another vendor and I had to order the monitor over the phone. The default alarm on the monitor is a piano piece (Beethoven's Fur Elise) which I like better than a ringing or buzzing sound. I'm giving 4 stars because of the inconvenience in having to order the monitor separately. The monitor costs approx $40.

For elderly, Alzheimer's, dementia this was the best purchase we ever made. Great heads up alarm before loved one's try to get up out of bed and fall or bathroom accident. This product solved one of our biggest problems with elderly wanderers at night.

Very disappointing that it didn't come with the alarm. I needed it all at once, as my 95 yo mother in law refuses to call for assistance. She has been falling daily, at times up to 3 times a day. Since I have to order the alarm, she has fallen again, and will most likely continue to do so until the alarm can be installed, despite the fact she has 24/7 aid. It should be made more clear the item does not come with the alarm.

I ordered this but it can't be plugged in without a AC adapter. I ordered the adapter. But can not find the remote. So if anyone can please help me find how to purchase the proper remote. Otherwise this is a ugly overpriced basic tripping hazard regular floor mat. For something as important as this item is in a medical situation I am so far very disappointed with having to take time to hunt down 3 separate parts in order for it to work. If I find the remote and get a chance to put it into use I will give another review at that time. If not I will be returning.

Doesn’t come with a monitor and it says that but doesn’t offer it to you with product anywhere. Mat will not work without monitor. Had to call customer service to ask what monitor works with mat

Has been so helpful keeping me aware of when my patient is getting up. The alarm loud enough to alert me anywhere in the house, and lets the patient know that help will soon arrive.
