D'AddarioAuto Lock Guitar Strap

Attaching and removing this strap is SO easy, which is important for me as it needs to be removed for my electric guitar to sit in its rigid case properly.

I have tried all three materials now.Polypro is cheap and hangs your guitar as it should. They are really lightweight. However with T shirts I find that when the strap moved the edges irritated my neck.The “padded” ones are OK. They are still lightweight (130 grams) and are marginally better with the digging into my neck. I wasn’t impressed with the striped one. It looked and felt like the belt you get on cheap ski suit trousers.Then I tried Nylon. These are heavier (180 grams) but are much thicker than the so called padded ones. The material is smooth as silk and feel great against the neck. They have a premium feel to them and I sent all of the others back. I now have a collection of the nylon ones. Downsides? Well they are really smooth. For example with leather straps I used to remove the guitar, leave the strap on my shoulder and attach another guitar. If I try that with these they just slide off my shoulder. I can live with that. I like the fact that when I play I can change guitar position and the strap will easily move.As far as button compatibility goes they work fine with all classic buttons and will go up to the diameter of Dunlop straplock hybrid buttons (they work so well with these that I have left them on some guitars). They don’t work with Ibanez Japan buttons on Jems and JSs and they won’t go anywhere near those flat PRS USA buttons

Bought for a heavy solid mahogany body guitar and the strap handles the load well and the locks ensure it's not going to slip off the guitar. Only small gripe is the length of the strap could be a little longer.

Love this. I struggle with arthritis. I find standard guitar straps impossible to fit unless I remove and refit the strap pegs. This slides on and locks securely. It stays on. It is also very simple to remove. Game changer.

Excellent Guitar Strap

I have a few guitars, including a bass and this just clips ff and on, quick as a flash.Would recommend anyone who has a couple of guitars to buy this rather than a strap for each instrument.

This strap was better than I expected, it really holds the guitar quite securely so I can relax a little. I am back to buy another for my new second guitar, can't recommend them enough really. I do like when we see new ingenious and practical designs, someone out there is doing very good work indeed.

If you're a longtime guitarist like me, or just starting out, strap locks are the way to go. And these have been working really great.

Purchasing the D'Addario Auto Lock Guitar Strap was the best thing I could have done for peace of mind. For 50 years I never had an issue with a bass coming off of a strap until I purchased a higher end bass (figures). After the second "drop off" (luckily I caught it on both occasions) I had to do something as I would have been VERY upset if it had fallen to the floor. The strap arrived very quickly and it is absolutely great. Very good quality and still lightweight. The locking mechanisms are a "snap"! Ned Steinberger is a smart guy and D'Addario is a great company, I highly recommend it!

Estava usando uma correia com um Strap Lock genérico. ai começou a dar problema. Ai resolvi comprar essa correia. O acabamento e a qualidade da correia são boas, mas nada extraordinário, mas gostei.Voce pode usar os pinos de correia originais do intrumento (contrabaixo no meu caso). E por não precisar trocar os pinos de correia, voce pode usar com qualquer intrumento. Só achei ela um pouco lisa no ombro, mas nada mto inconveniente.

This is my second strap like this. No mods to the guitar needed as it used my factory strap buttons. The first I got years ago, this gives me confidence that the strap will not come off no matter what I do. Probably saved my guitar many, many falls. PRS-Custom 24 and an old Strat Japanese copy.
