“Banish Squeaks and Friction with Permatex’s Magic Spray!”
Ah, the Permatex 80070 Silicone Spray Lubricant—the unsung hero of my garage! Let me tell you, this little aerosol can is like a wizard’s wand for mechanical equipment. It’s like Gandalf whispering, “You shall not squeak!” as it works its magic.First off, let’s talk about the packaging. The can itself looks like it’s ready to join a rock band. Sleek, mysterious, and ready to jam with your rusty hinges. The label screams, “I’m here to lubricate, baby!” And boy, does it deliver. Now, I’m no mechanic, but I’ve got a toolbox that would make Tim “The Tool Man” Taylor proud. And when I stumbled upon this Permatex wonder, I thought, “Why not? Let’s give it a whirl!” So, I grabbed my trusty can, shook it like a Polaroid picture, and sprayed away.1. The Squeak Slayer: Remember that creaky door that sounded like a dying walrus every time you opened it? Well, not anymore! The Permatex 80070 swooped in like Batman and silenced that noise faster than you can say “Abracadabra!”2. Friction Fighter: My garage is like a WWE ring for tools—wrenches vs. pliers, screwdrivers vs. hammers. But guess what? Permatex stepped in, oiled up those moving parts, and turned my garage into a ballet studio. No more grunting and wrestling; just smooth, graceful movements.3. Window Wizardry: Windows sticking like a stubborn toddler refusing bedtime? Fear not! Permatex coated those channels, and suddenly my windows glided up and down like they were auditioning for “So You Think You Can Dance.”4. Rubber Revival: Rubber mountings and weather stripping feeling neglected? Permatex gave them a spa day. They’re now rejuvenated, ready to face rain, snow, and the occasional squirrel attack.5. Dust-Repellent Sorcery: The high silicone formula is like Teflon for dust. It repels those pesky particles like a bouncer at an exclusive club. “Sorry, dust, you’re not on the guest list!”6. Paint Protector: Permatex won’t mar your paint, rubber, or plastic surfaces. It’s like having a personal bodyguard for your car. “Step away from the fender, dirt!”7. Electrically Insulated Enchantment: It’s not just a lubricant; it’s an electrician’s dream. Coating wires, connectors, and switches, it whispers, “Fear not, sparks. I’ve got you covered.”And the best part? It doesn’t attract dirt. No clingy particles here! It’s like Permatex went to a speed-dating event and said, “Sorry, dirt, I’m not your type.” Swipe left! So, my fellow DIY enthusiasts, grab your Permatex 80070 and channel your inner Gandalf. Wave it over your hinges, locks, and mechanical bits, and watch the magic unfold. 🪄✨In summary: Permatex 80070 Silicone Spray Lubricant—because life’s too short for squeaks and sticky windows.

Another great product from permatex
This is actually the first time I have purchased and used silicone lubricating spray over wd-40's standard lubricant so I have limited knowledge of all the differences, but I can say I am strongly leaning toward sticking with this, no pun intended honest. First, I have used many other permatex products from sealants to gasket making and i trust this brand 100% which is why I chose this brand to try this type of lubricant, silicone. Second, I did several in home tests to compare the two because lubricants are so important in protecting your investments. For instance, using the wd40 on one hinge Permatex on the other, wd40 on one wheel/axle Permatex on the other and so on. This silicone spray wins. I am sold on silicone lubricants and will be using the wd40 less and less around the house and on the job. Mainly, it is much cleaner and in addition to that it seems to last a little longer and lubricates a little better. The ONLY con to this is the spray method which may or may not be the only option. It is not as concentrated and a little too powerful. That being said the good outweighs the bad significantly.

Patio door slides easily now.
I like that this lubricant does not attract dirt and lubricates really well. My patio door was opening ok but dragging when closing making it hard to close. My sister commented how hard it was to close. I vacuum and clean the track regularly but did find some debris and dog hair. After removing the debris and vacuuming the track I applied the spray and opened and closed the door several times. It slides like a dream now!!It’s so nice to be able to open it easily and not struggle to close it. So far so good.I had used another well known lubricant in the past and it attracted dirt and the track had a black buildup. I’m assuming this is from the dirt being attracted to it. I thoroughly cleaned the track even getting under the covered area using a long skewer with a q- tip taped onto the end. Since applying this spray I see no build up and now the door glides closed like a dream!

Fantastic!
We have a couple of toilets with the push buttons on top of the tank. They are great but they often stick and keep running. With just a couple sprits from this lubricant, the problem is solved for quite a long time. This is very safe for plastic. We are very happy!

Great
This stuff feels like it works well, fixed a squeaking door hinge on my car and used to lube the weather tubing. I wish it was a little cheaper, of course, but very happy so far.
