I love these books as they are always informative, educational and interesting! Provides the right amount of facts/tidbits - not too little, not too much.

This is an event of which I was not previously aware.What a shameful element of American history - no wonder it's not included in today's history classes.The author pulls no punches in the telling of this shocking tale.While there may have been atrocities on both sides of this conflict - one would expect better behaviour from a 'civilised country' - even in 1900.Informative overview of a significant event!

This book is not for everyone. It focuses in on little pictures over the big picture, in my opinion. If I were going to take a test, this might be the book. I'm not taking a test.

I am a fan of Captivating History and have purchased many books in the series. The books are well written and very engaging. The Philippine - American War is excellent.

Well done! Could not believe the parallels of the two wars! Seems like we never learn our lesson. Your progress of the fighting was excellent and it's supposed American misguided rationales. Kudos to your wonderful presentation. Should be a required read by all students of American History!

Poorly researched and presented history of the American Conquest of the Philippines. It is full of half truths and at least one basic error in history. It shows no understanding of late nineteenth century international conditions and consists of various attacks on American actions with no attempt at even handled analysis. If this is an example of the series I can not recommend any other books in the series.

I enjoyed reading the Philippine-American War, I decided not to use the audio so I began to read it and couldn't put it down. I finished reading it in about 3 hours. Fascinating.

Nice short history of the early years of USA in the Philippines. Not well known episode of American occupation after the Spanish American war.
