Cupuacu Butter, 100% Pure, 8oz

I cannot say enough good things about this butter. My guess is the other reviewer did not buy from cleanbasement as I did because my butter came in a jar that I was able to scoop out the butter as needed. I hope they give cleanbasement a try :)PROS; I use it daily in a reciepe I got from The Idiots Guide to Natural Beauty Products (a must have for those that like to make their own lotions/cremes) and simply love the results on my skin, which tends to be very dry from working outside. What I love about it the most is that when used straight it DOES NOT leave me all slicked up in oil but rather moist and soft and for some time too. In the creme I make it melts nicely and mixes well, so very easy to work with. It also does not have a strong scent at all so I commonly use it in place of cocoa butter which has a high rating for clogging pores (comeodogenic score of 5/5) and have never been disappointed - in fact happier with the switch.CONS: I agree that the butter is hard (harder than cocoa butter if you ask me) but I was able to apply it straight after warming in up with a quick rubbbing of my hands and as I stated melted and blended nicely in the making of my cremes. I guess just make sure it comes in a jar and not a bottle as the only "con" about this butter is that it is hard but if you are used to cocoa butter then well you will not likly notice any difference other than softer skin and less oil slicks on your body.

This is a good product for dry skin on your face but I cannot get the stuff out of the bottle. It is all dried up and I have to dig it out with a knife and roll it between my fingers to get it to melt. Tried putting it in the microwave and it wouldn't melt. Is it supposed to be like this?
