A Year Of Filtered Water
Ok, the filter itself is a high one-off purchase, but when you think it last 12 months for filtered water it is quite good value. Cheaper than buying filters for both the water jug and kettle over a year. They are extremely easy to fit as the mechanism automatically turns off the water when unscrewed and turns it back on when screwed in. Very simple and clever. The only shame is that they are not recyclable as they are a strong quality unit.

Genuine product from manufacturer
We have the Franke hot water tap filter system and need to replace the filter every year. It was easier to order this from Amazon than Franke and the same price. It's so important to us to drink filtered water and this is a great quality filter.

Difficult looking instructions re fit and no clear guidance re recycling
I'm giving this 1 star not because it doesn't do the job but because a) the instructions are ridiculously complicated and make it look like you need a Franke repair man to come out and fit the thing - so ignore the paper instructions and just look up how to change the filter on youtube. b) There are no instructions re recycling but these plastic units can be recycled - they need to be sent back to manufacturer and I'm guessing Franke don't want many people to do that. Clearly we cannot just put huge chunks of plastic like this in landfill so Franke needs to make it easier for us to recycle them.
