All things considered, pretty disappointing. Looking forward to volume 2.
Just some quick impressions, given the quarantine it is difficult to get out to the supermarket. I'm a HUGE ATK fan, HUGE. I have a bunch of their books and freaking love the work they do. I consider their recipes the gold standard. Their gluten free cookbooks are so darn great at offering a huge variety of options. This is a misstep.-Some recipe reuse, I've seen some of these recipes in their other books (Sauteed Summer Squash, Deviled Eggs. I feel like if they are going to do reuse (which is fine) then they should put EVERYTHING in here. Where is the meatloaf?-Many of the meat recipes are obvious choices, this reminds me of their promising vegan cookbook including salads.-There is no gravy recipe!?! That seems like something they could have sorted out. Gimme gravy!-I'm excited to try their bread, chocolate chip cookies and pancakes*. I'd love to hear if they failed at making a Keto birthday cake. I wish they would have included a generic baking mix like Bisquick (I'll try to adapt their pancake recipe). I wouldn't have been mad if they included hamburger rolls...*5/12 update - We tried the bread recipe. I don't have much to compare this bread to, but it is dense and dark. Not sure I would use this for anything other than buttering. Not going to be great for sandwiches or someone who is a picky eater.*5/23 update- The Muffins and chocolate chip cookies are awesome, I'm upping the rating to 3 stars. Still very disappointed about the gravy and biscuit situation, but these two recipes I would eat even if I wasn't dieting. Their sugar substitute suggestion is expensive, but it is wonderful. We used it to make simple syrup in some adult beverages.

Just Plain Disappointed
I had such high expectations from a magazine that I have subscribed to for 12+ years. I've watched the shows on local public television for years and still watch them via YouTube because we opted to cut the cable cord several years ago. Gotta have my ATK fix! But, I didn't find any of the recipes exceptional or different from what I already have or can find on the ca-zillon Keto websites and YouTube Channels. I'm not new to Keto. Have been following this life style for over a year with excellent results, over 70# lost. I was just looking for more variety and certainty in the recipes. Too many times I'll try an "awesome recipe" that has 5 star rave reviews only to find that it is awful, leaving me to wonder to other people following this life style have any taste buds or knowledge of how something is supposed to taste. Example, tried some perfect lupin flour pasta that I saw on YT and I couldn't spit it out fast enough. I have a pretty strong stomach, but honestly, I've never gagged so much on something. This happens all too often so I thought when ATK began advertising this, I thought, "finally here is a cookbook I can trust to have food that taste good". This book has 160 recipes. The average Total Carb is 8.21875. The average Net Carb (Total - Fiber) is 4.375. That's all I really say is good about the recipes. It is on the mark for giving very Keto geared recipes. But, would I want to keep and use it, no. There's just not enough special about it. The only recipe that i saw worth my trying is the Vietnamese pork and noodle bowls, but since I returned the book, i don't and won't have a copy of it unless someone steals it and posts it. Sorry ATK, this one's a dud. :-(

OMG. I have waited for this for such a long time.
American Test Kitchen has finally developed a book for people like me. Thank you so much ATK. for taking on this challenge! I used to love watching video shows on ATK. I have learned many useful techniques and implemented lots of recipes.For the past 2 years I have gone Keto all the way and was mostly using recipes of armature home cooks and doctors and dietitians for my lifestyle. I was so excited to get this professional chef’s creation.I have not yet tried the recipes but will definitely make some from this book and will add my opinion on them to this review later.One of the important issues in sustaining Keto lifestyle is palatability of food. Most of the recipes contain two additional notes to change palatability with different taste variations.

excellent recipes - just one thing, don't get your nutrition info here
As usual, ATK has put out foolproof recipes for the next crowd, keto. I have made several and they have all been great. I was looking for more than the protein, cream cheese and heavy cream type recipe that many keto websites produce. I am looking for real food, cleaned up for keto. That said, this pretty much delivers. One star taken off (would've only lake 1/2 a star off if possible) for the nutritional explanation for keto at the beginning of the book. Don't get your health information here, rather, you should check out the info from LowCarbMD or DietDoctor websites. Keto is very good for more health issues and is SAFE for most people. A lot of people should have some medical supervision when taking this lifestyle on, though.

Great book for Keto
Coming from a family of chef's and restaurant owners, it's nice to find actual good tasting, well-tested Keto recipes from American's Test Kitchen. So far everything I've made has been great and even better the next day as leftovers. Italian Eggplant rolls, Green Goddess Bowl and Indian Butter Chicken are just a few I've tried and will be making over and over. A beginner cook might find the recipes complicated but I'm so happy to have a book with recipes featuring flavor as opposed to the bad recipes with good reviews on Pinterest and blogs. The book also offers reasoning as why they do things they way they do and what makes the recipes work. As well as substitutions you can make for different variations. Highly recommend for anyone on Keto.

Love this cookbook
Love this book, I as always ATK does it a again. I made the chocolate chip cookies as soon as I got the book and they were wondering.

Easy every day keto recipes you’re sure to try
I really like the book! I love to cook but I have bought many books I have never cooked from. This one makes every day recipes keto approved so I can continue to cook for my family the dishes they like and they don’t even know they’re eating keto!

AMERICA'S TEST KITCHEN- great Keto recipes
Excellent KETO recipes...only wished there were more bread substitute recipes. Otherwise, really enjoyed several of the meals out together. Another good cookbook to add to your collection.
