UPDATE: The company responded very promptly and replaced the leash and I have now upped to 5 stars. Customer service is so important even with a good product. Can't say enough nice things about them and the leash.I have a dog that is a strong "puller" and needs training, yet some freedom to move a bit naturally. I purchased this 20 foot to start training and have a long 150' run. I purchased this on May 9th and I write this on June 19th. The leash split about halfway through the 1 inch thickness. To be fair, sometimes my dog likes to play tug of war with the leash on the way in, but this has not caused a problem with others, so I do not know if this was a weakness in the leash or my dog got lucky with a "chew". (With me being 70 years old, our "wars" do not last long. What I like about this leash is the handle, the color and, until now, I thought strength. I was going to purchase another and noticed a manufacturer's warranty, so I will revise this upon response from the manufacturer. (My return date expired last week) It is also fair to note that this leash is not used daily, so I am reasonable to expect a longer life. I don't know how to contact the manufacturer except by review.They contacted me in response to this review immediately. I'm working on direct contact, but so far their customer service is stellar.

Your browser does not support HTML5 video.  We've only used the leash a couple of times so far, but I am quite happy with how vibrant the orange color is for visibility. I bought the 50 foot lead for my 60 pound German Shepherd/Husky mix for recall work and just so people know she is a dog and not a coyote. Care needs to be taken to keep it from getting knotted up, but overall it seems durable and yet not too heavy. I've attached a video of my dog using the leash at a nearby park. You can see how bright the leash is in the tall grass.

We are so happy with this leash!!! It has allowed us to take our very energetic Catahoula for wonderful walks, allowing him to explore at his heart's content and enabling me to keep him secure when he sees something he would like to chase. We have been using this as a training tool to teach him to remain with us, even when the alluring deer, turkey, rabbit take off and he has the deep desire to disappear with it! This has been a wonderful leash. Our boy is 70 lbs and can really give a tug...this leash has held up well! Love the bag, love the handle for easy grip, and the clip is sewed in well and super strong! If this one ever wears out....we WILL be buying again and highly recommend it! High quality product!!!! Thick, quality and durable stitching, strong clasp, great vibrant color, overall just a very well put together product. I find that most long leads only work well on smaller dogs, but this is perfect for large, strong dogs. The padded handle is also a really nice feature. A little more money than other training leads on amazon, but well worth it. I have 3 70lb+ mutts and used this leash on my well trained 80lb pit/lab/rottie when we went camping. I used it to get him acquainted to our camping area when we arrived and as a tie out when we were unpacking and packing. He can easily break a long lead and this leash actually held up to his stregnth if he pulled a little. So happy with this product! It arrived quickly and was even packaged in higher quality materials. I will definetly buy from leash boss again.

We have a rescue dog that is boxer and pit bull mix, he was severely abused by his owners. So he is very skittish around people, and training is taking us quite some time we have to be patient with him. We have 2 acres of land that we like to let him run on, but because he isn't trained we fear he'll run off or run into the neighbors yard so the leash boss is perfect for him . We can run and get exercise and we still have control over him, it also helps to get him to come to us when we call him because we can reel him in when he decides he doesn't want to do it. This was a great investment .It's a strong leash because he is a very strong dog and we needed something strong. I don't tie him outside on it, he has a fenced in area when we aren't walking him. If given enough time he would be able to chew through the nylon but any dog would be able to. I highly recommend this for anyone with a high energy dog that still needs to be under control.

This is exactly what I was looking for and it is everything I hoped it would be. Quality of materials and construction is great and the handle on this lead is a godsend. I use it to train my rapidly growing (and strong) Newfoundland puppy in the park and the bright orange color helps other people, who might otherwise be nervous, see that my pup is still attached to a human even though he's a good distance away from me. An added positive for this leash is that the 1-inch nylon lead doesn't seem to tangle nearly as much as plenty of other leads I've used (even other nylon leads). On a 50 foot length, easy detangling is soooooooo useful. Thank you for a great product, Leashboss!

My 75 pound Chocolate Labrador really loves to run! I got this leash to provide a secure method for him to run around our property. We go outside at late afternoon and he runs and runs and runs. It did not take him long to figure out when he gets to the end of the leash to make a turn and so he runs in big circles. We are lucky to live on an acre of property so he has plenty of space. The land is surrounded by barbed wire and electric wire fences to keep in the neighbors cattle in, so the dog has to be on a leash, or he gets cut up in the wire or shocked. This way is a lot more fun for both of us! The bright orange color helps me to see the leash and keep it from getting tangled as he runs about. The padded handle is very comfortable and provides great control. When finished, I roll the leash back up the way it came in the mail and put it in the nylon carry bag. I have ordered the bungee but it has not arrived yet. Be careful when the dog gets to the end of the leash, he can pull you over if he is a big dog, but as a big guy that has not happened to me.Great product, I would buy it again.

Love this. Gives my dog safety to run. A harness is required as it has weight to it. Probably paying for the name as a 30’ longe line for a horse is way cheaper but the 50’ gives a bit of extra running distance.
