Pretty good steel wool to use. I used it to clean up wood. It comes in different grades. Comes at a reasonable price too.

I bought some #000 EXTRA FINE for removing small rust spots from chrome (after one reviewer asserted this was the correct grade).It's not though, it's too fine although it does a great job of polishing the non-rusty bits.The packaging explains what each grade is suitable for. We use this alot in Brazil.This is great for cleaning pans, and any other type of steel thing, I also use this to clean my hob, inside the oven as it doesn't scratch at all.Great product and very affordable too.

i went to a large DIY store for some 0000 fine wire wool, they only had course, which would to abrasive to rub down my walnut air rifle stock, prior to adding walnut oil, this is very fine and contains 16 decent sized pad's, just the job.it arrived next day using amazon prime 10/10.
