An affordable and useful storage unit
Easy to assemble makes a great outdoor pool chemical and garden items store for us.We did work out what we intended to store in it before we ordered, it's size suits our needs but, it is a relatively small unit, if you want it to store a lot of long handled garden tools you may not be able to install more than one shelf if any.A level base is required and in exposed areas will probably need some form of anchoring especially if you live in an area that can get strong winds. The bottom section of ours is loaded with heavy materials plus, it is in a very sheltered corner that makes it stable enough not to require anchoring.Making the shelves (NOT SUPPLIED) was not difficult, a template is supplied however I always check measure as well plus, I have the power tools that make it easy work. I used some old 1/2" plywood that a neighbor threw out so there was no additional cost to me.You can store quite a lot in this unit and the shelves are set back so some long handled garden tools can be stored in front of them. The product is USA made and seems to be of a good quality it can be padlocked (NOT SUPPLIED) shut if you wish. Not had it that long but, so far very pleased.

A little hiccup in assembly with faulty panel but very HAPPY with it and customer service.
I am very pleased with this shed. It holds a lot more than I was expecting; I had seen slightly smaller, about 16 cubic ft, sizes at the big box stores selling for a lot more. The extra couple of cubic ft make a huge difference. I feel like it is quite durable and well made for what it is. We are storing wood for our fire pit, outdoor cushions and the bug zapper in it.It is very quick and easy to assemble. That being said, we did have difficulty with the right side panel. The plastic screws were not holding; they would pop right out. After trying the left side and having absolutely no trouble, I called Suncast directly and explained my situation. They sent out another right panel. It took a little over a week to arrive. The plastic screws threaded into the new panel perfectly. Thank you Suncast for your great customer service!

Nice plastic closet for storing garden tools, not truly waterproof or sturdy.
This is a review of the "single" rather than the "double" Suncast Vertical Utility Shed (70.5 x 32.25 x 26.5 inches). I noticed that the reviews of both sizes are mixed together on the Amazon website. The "single" or narrower version is just big enough to fit either (1) an old-fashioned push lawnmower without a motor, or (2) all my other garden tools (rake, hoe, shovels, pruners, shepherd's hooks, etc, etc. I tried to squeeze everything in, mower and all, but if you do that, everything gets snarled together and you can't remove just one tool without unpacking the whole thing. Also, there is no room to add shelves once all my long-handled tools are inside. The instructions recommend having someone help you put it together. I was alone, so I asked my friends Mr. Wall and Mr. Box to help me hold up the walls while I screwed it together. It went together fairly smoothly, with a couple snags and re-dos. The walls fit together sort of like Legos, with tabs that snap into place, then you rock the wall up into position and secure it with plastic bolts. It is a little tricky getting the tabs to slot into place properly, but with patience you can jostle them into place without assistance. I would say the assembly is "easy" because it doesn't require a lot of tools. Unfortunately, one of the holes for the bolts was not fully punched out of the plastic wall, so when I went to put in the bolt, I found a solid slab of plastic in the way. Luckily I was able to pry this out with a screwdriver.Once all the parts were put together correctly, you could still see daylight between the walls and the roof, and also between the walls and the floor. The shed is not fully watertight, but it should keep out most of the rain. I actually put up the shed on the level floor inside of my screened-in porch. I thought about putting it outside, but didn't want to have to build a base for it. I just put it up in the corner of my porch to keep the yard tools out of the way (previously the yard tools were stacked in a corner of the back porch, and there would be an avalanche every time I tried to remove something). There are holes in the plastic handles to put a padlock to discourage casual theft. Needless to say, since the entire shed is made of plastic, the Master lock (not included) is about 2000x stronger than the actual handles, which are held onto the plastic doors by a couple of screws.I paid about $200 for this in 2016. On the whole, I would say I am happy with it for the price, because it was easy to put together and looks pretty good. It will do what I bought it for. If you need something truly large and sturdy to stand on its own outside, this might not be for you. If you just need a portable closet to store your gear, this is an excellent choice.

Exactly What I Needed!
I have a love for gardening, and no garage. This has meant that all of my long tools have been cluttering my porch and posing a temptation for theft. While the price was higher than I would have liked for what I got, it was a necessary evil. This thing is built like the old school Little Tykes play furniture. I could probably use it as a toboggon down a ski slope without destroying it. It took me 30 minutes on a sweltering day to assemble the shed by myself. The hex wrench provided worked well and got thrown in my toolbox for later use. The doors were a little tricky to put on, but with a little maneuvering and a little muscle, they went on. (I do suggest installing the hinge locks to prevent the door from torquing weird and getting damaged if opened too forcefully.) I foresee keeping this around for quite a long time.Bottom Line: If you've ever played with Legos, you can assemble this thing. It's tall enough to store rakes and shovels, but not tall enough to add a shelf above them unless you have shorter handles tools. It appears nigh indestructable.

Beware of suggested extras...
The shed itself is easy to put together and great for a small patio. The problem I ran into is that Amazon suggests a shelf and hand tool organizer that DO NOT FIT this model. After putting everything together and realizing this it was too late to return the other items :( I just finished searching and there are NO shelves or organizers designed for this shed. I wrongly assumed they all went together and this was the perfect item for me. Now I have to try to figure out how to make a shelf to fit this shed...really disappointed by this and the suggestion by Amazon to buy the three items together.
