very helpful
I can now improvise with different songs without searching the internet for scales. This book is useful to any level guitar player.

Great book !
This is my first scale book ever. The material included is great, simple and clear presentation. I would like the tracks were a little bit longer (avg less one minute long). I'm able to figure out the fifth mode.

This is one of the best jazz scale books I have ever seen on scales. You will definitely find what you're looking for in this book it contains over 700 scales.

Just what I was looking for!
I've been looking for a book that had nothing but scales. Not scales and chords, not scales and hokey e-z to play songs. Just scales. This book has the scales I wanted, and each page has a graphical depiction on the neck, and there is a page for each key. Outstanding!

Absolutely brilliant
I deliberated for what felt like forever on which book to buy. I am so glad I went for this one, as the author has kept it nice and concise. I'm a total beginner at guitar, but know music from other instruments. I wanted a clear, easy to follow guide to the common, and not so common scales for my practice routine. The graphics used are very easy to follow, which is why I love this specific book. Easy to use and to follow, but with enough content to keep you busy for a long while! Not the cheapest, but there's a reason why!

The "Everything" Guitar Scales Book: Over 700 Scale Patterns for Every Style of Music
As a self-taught beginner of the guitar I ordered this book, hopefully, to learn more about scales. I was pleasantly surprised. There is a small section at the beginning of the book which explains about what scales are, how to read the visual diagrams and how the book is organised. There are, as the above title suggests, over 700 scale patterns for every style of music. There is also a CD which accompanies the book. I haven't used the CD as yet but, I assume, has examples of all the scales. As a beginner I have only practiced a few of the more common scales but it is helping me to coordinate my single string picking without looking at the strings. I would definitely recommend this book if you are wanting to learn more about scales, even more so if your are a more advanced player where actual playing a scale would be more natural rather than a struggling exercise as it is for me at the moment. Hopefully that will improve!! But, if you are looking for a good book about guitar scales, I would definitely recommend this book.

Really is a great book, tons of information and really explains the scales in great detail. I was lost when it came to learning the guitar and this book changed that, I am learning to move up and down the scales and fret board with ease now. Like anything it takes dedication and tons of practice but you really cannot get any better than this book when it comes to learning the scales.

It comes with a UFO looking things....
Good book but for those of us who have moved away from CDs, it's a bit of a pain.It would have been good if you added a link to a downloadable fileNow excuse me, I'll have to go and find my CD player somewhere in the garage....

Don't waste your money!
No Blues scales, massive disappointment - loads of repitition of the same pattern. Unless you are a total beginner do not waste your money!
