Parting the Sea Between Brightness and Me is the second studio album by the American post-hardcore band Touché Amoré. The album was released on June 7, 2011, through Deathwish Inc..[6] It was recorded and produced in five days with Ed Rose at his own Black Lodge Recording studio in Eudora, Kansas. The band was recorded live to give the album a more "honest/raw" feel. The band said they chose to work with Rose because of the work he had done with The Casket Lottery. To promote Parting the Sea Between Brightness and Me.

Never listened to an album so many times
Beautiful, honest, raw; however you describe it this is one of the best albums I've heard. Lyrically simple, yet so complex and personal at the same time, Jeremy Bolm reveals every scratch, stain, and overpolished reflection in his mirror, holding nothing back. From the first beautiful chords of "~" to the intensity that follows a few seconds later comes an album that completely delivers yet earns to be played back more and more. Less angry/aggressive sounding than To The Beat of a Dead Horse and their first demo, it still packs just as many punches. Check it out, give it a listen, and hey, if you don't like it, none of their songs are longer than 3 minutes so you're not even wasting your time.

One of my favs
Any fan of hardcore, or post hardcore would love this. Touché amore is a great band and after to the beat of a dead horse I didn't know what to expect from this album but every song is great, lyrics really show some meaning about pushing people away. Also if you can watch them live they put on great shows.

Must buy if you are a fan of the so called melodic hardcore genre. Without a doubt, this is my favorite Touche Amore album.

Great album
I really like this album. It seems real quick and short because the tracks fly through and well not all the songs are very long, but Touche Amore do a great job. Awesome songs.

Even better on vinyl.
This is one of their best albums, if not their best. It shows their progression from the previous album. Track 7 is the best!

Different
This was the first Touche Amore album I bought. It strikes me as a balance between punk and emo, and I never liked emo previously. I like this a lot.
