Kerbl Bird Cage Gabbia Sophia, 55.5 x 33.5 x 56.5 cm

Purchased this cage to temporarily house budgerigar for a week’s stay in a static caravan. Perfectly adequate.

Quite a nice looking traditional style small bird cage. Small applying to the bird size, not the cage size which is quite big. Plenty of room for two or three birds. Had a little trouble fitting the two feeding bowls. Could have come with some instructions showing where to put the holding spring hooks. Otherwise, self explanatory assembly. Floor tray is made of flexible plastic which is good. Unfortunately, the base is made of brittle plastic which cracks easily and needs detaching and reattaching carefully when removing for cleaning.Otherwise OK.

I'm hugely disappointed by this cage it is not 36 by 57 cm It's actually 31 by 55. This makes a big difference and it's awkward and too small even for one budgie. I'm very disappointed as I bought this exact item 2 x before and it was perfect but now I have to return the first one (which arrived damaged) and I'm stuck with the second one until I can find an alternative. I wish they would change the listing to correctly reflect the new size of this much smaller cage.

Ich habe den Käfig schon 5 Jahre und wollte, weil wir alle umgezogen sind, den beiden auch ein neues Zuhause gönnen. Ich wollte einen etwas schöneren, vielleicht sogar eleganteren Vogelkäfig.Nun es ist wieder der gleiche geworden, weil er einfach vom Preis- Leistungsverhältnis überzeugt. - Und er ist handlich, leicht zu reinigen. Das war das ausschlaggebende Argument gegen einen anderen Käfig, vielleicht schöneren Käfig. Der Käfig muss ruck zuck am Schluss vom Spülvorgang einfach mal durchs Spülwasser gezogen werden und gut ist. Kein Aufwand, sonst macht das Ganze keinen Sinn.Auch dass man ab und zu den ganzen Käfig mal richtig mit Essigreiniger und heißem Wasser in der Dusche abbrausen kann und er ist wieder wie neu.Das Plastik von der Auffangschüssel ist so gut oder schlecht verarbeitet und windig wie bei anderen Vogelkäfigen auch. Die Plastiksitzstangen, da drauf mussten die beiden noch nie sitzen, die gehen sofort in den Müll. Warum die überhaupt dazu gepackt werden?Fazit: Guter, handlicher, preiswerter Käfig. Wenn die Vögel genug Freiflug haben ist er wunderbar. Den Käfig kann man auch leicht transportieren, falls man mal in Ruhe einen Krimi nicht nur sehen will, sondern auch hören ;-)))
