The Clamptite CLT01L is a good tool and well-made in the USA. A bit pricey for a little hand tool, but I'd probably charge you as much if you wanted me to make you one. The less expensive model with some aluminum parts would do the same thing for less, but this one was worth the price for premium materials to me.It takes a bit of finesse to get the technique down, but it works well if used correctly. If you're skilled with hand tools, this one can pay for itself. By the end of my life, I believe I'll get my money's worth out of it.

Debated over a year, but finally got tired of the screw down clamps. I got it today and successfully made two clamps on a garden hose, eliminating the cuts from the hose clamps. Yes it's spendy, but works just like it's promoted. I made a slight bend on the wire ends down toward the hose to eliminate any unwanted pokes. I can run my hand right over the wire without a hint of a wire end! I'm very pleased with the Clamptite and anxious to replace all my hose clamps, except for the automotive water hoses. I've had to double hose clamp transmission line connections to an external cooler in the past, but not any more. This tool works perfectly for my needs.

Made my first clamp with this and it came out pretty well. It's a bit tricky at first, but once you learn it, it is a very good system.

I only gave it 4 stars because it is so expensive. But it is well made and it does a good job making clamps out of all kinds of wire. It's made in the USA...a reminder of how inexpensive the Chinese-made things we buy are.

We travel and hunt in many remote areas of the US. ClampTite allows you fix the unplanned problem. Leaking hose, broken handle on a tool, rattling heat shield on your exhaust system or whatever comes along. All of the repairs are permanent, No need to do any more! Very handy Tool!!

I bought one of these many years ago. I really did not have much use for it. BUT, lately I started buying cheap garden hoses, then I suddenly needed to replace hose connectors. I really hate those screw type hose clamps, they can really tear up your hands. This little device will build a tight connection without the large screw and the excess clamp material which can be so uncomfortable. It takes a few tries to get the hang of building the connection, two hands do not seem adequate for the first few attempts. Large diameter wire also creates problems, especially the stainless steel safety wire recommended. But once you get used to it you can quickly produce very good connections. I have had several failures with the screw type hose clamps that sent large quantities of water shooting through the air, or in my face. It will not be long before they are all replaced. The only complaint I have with this device is that it is easily lost in your tool box. Fortunately Amazon now carries them, so I no longer have to look for my first one. Be careful about who you show this tool to, or you, too, may be buying a second one.

This tool works great just as expected. Took a little practice to get good at it. I did watch some videos on YouTube.
