Perfect!
My puppy loves this treat. They are small enough to fit in sandwich bags, so I take them everywhere.

A favorite for my little dog
My minpin/chihuahua mix is a picky eater and I keep her on weight management food that she’ll eat when she has to. I found if I put two of these broken in half on top of her food she’s more likely to eat her whole portion.

Full of Meals, Fillers, Preservatives - Doggo Eats Them, But Prefers Other Treats
The Purina Puppy Chow Training Treats is an okay treat to give to your dog occasionally as a training treat. Although these are touted as “Puppy Treats”, the back of the back does note that these treats are a “Complete & Balanced Nutrition for all live stages”. In other words, you can give these treats to your older dog without any issues. The Pampered Papillon enjoyed eating these treats, although after reading the ingredients, I will likely not give these to him very often. These treats does include salmon as the first ingredient, but the following ingredients include plenty off fillers like grains (soy, corn, wheat), meals, by products, sodium, and other ingredients that aren’t all that good for your dog. The first few ingredients include salmon, wheat flour, whole grain corn, corn gluten meal, soybean meal, poultry by product meal, glycerin, wheat flour (listed twice), water, salt, fish oil, mono and dicalcium phosphate, tricalcium phosphate, and phosphoric acid. There’s also a long list of minerals, vitamins, smoke flavor, and preservatives to keep these treats fresh. The treats smell like most of the clay like dog snack - a bit smoky and a bit meaty. These have a very light fishy scent, and to be honest, if you didn’t tell me these were fish snacks, I probably wouldn’t have guessed. Most of these clay like treats smell alike. Each treat is about the size of a Cheerio, can be easily split into two if you want an ultra small treat for training, and each bag holds a lot of treats. One full bag fit into a quart sized Talenti container and comes in a resealable ziploc bag. Because our dog is a nosey one, we put it in the Talenti container to keep him from helping himself from the bag.As for the dog’s reaction - he enjoyed these treats, but didn’t get half as excited about these as he does with his freezes dried meat snacks. These didn’t cause any sort of digestive distress, but these did give him terrible breath. Overall, if you’re looking for cheap training treats, these will do, but there are LOT of other great treats out there that are better for your dog in the long run.
