I collect and use early 1900s camping gear. I recently ran across a vintage Icy Hot vacuum bottle (patented in 1908) that was missing a proper cork. Corks were used before they started making threaded stoppers. Anyway, this bottle had a relatively large 2 1/4" opening, and these worked perfectly. Even the overall length was correct, as the inside top of the cap snugs down on the cork to ensure that it stays in place, I wish all my restorations were so simple! The cork is very solid, of good quality, no strange odors or anything either.

These are nice but not a perfect fit for ll carafes, so be sure to measure before you buy.

Great product, great price, great service

This was a simple-pleasure purchase:-). I bought it for my juice/tea pitcher. I wrapped it in plastic to keep it from getting tea on it. I suppose I could wash it, but it seems like it might stain or not come completely clean since cork is porous. Wrap is held with the tab from a loaf of bread.

As a stopper in a glass bottle. Measured both before ordering and it was a match. But corks were so close as they slipped inside the bottle.

I have three old bottles with raised medallions that are on a small chest in the kitchen. They are only used for display. These cork stoppers are perfect to put in their mouths. They stick to be seen the proper amount. The cork is excellent quality and dies nit crumble. They are perfect for our purpose.
