Diamond Antenna X200A Dual-Band Base Antennas X200A

New to amateur radio and Diamond antennas seem to meet all my specifications.Budget wise the X200A was a happy medium for me. Although other antennas looks like this one - I felt better going with Diamond for a little more $$.Item was presented nicely in a clear vinyl bag. Easy to tell it was new and not a return. Included instructions were easy to understand. Assembly was easy with a few wrenches and a screwdriver. Threads and overall assembly was great. A++

I live in an HOA that is sensitive to external antennas, so I actually painted this with a camouflage pattern and it blends in nicely with the trees behind it. It's mounted with a chimney mount, with the radials just below the top of the chimney, so the total height is perhaps 7' above the top of the chimney. I coupled it to 70' of 50 ohm coax and get an SWR of 1:1.2

According to my VNA, I get a SWR of less than two in the 7cm band, I get an SWR that hovers around 3 for the 2M band. This is terrible performance at 2M. This might get returned. $140 may not be a lot of money for antenna, but it should at least perform as advertised.

Can't tell you how this antenna performs because I can't even install it! Antenna arrived missing the Allen set-screw used to secure the upper element to the lower element. Useless. Have to either search for the right set screw locally or return it for an exchange. NOT happy!

The base for the antenna was smashed and product packaging was ripped up, yet the shipping box was in great condition.
