Eagle Creek Tarmac Weekend Bag

A versatile bag that holds a lot and fits easily into US and European overhead bins. Probably won't fit underseat if filled to capacity and maybe not even if empty given its length. Construction seems sturdy, but padding on shoulder strap is minimal. My 14 inch laptop fit easily in the larger side compartment and I suspect a 17 inch size would fit as well, if it is not too thick. I am glad I bought this bag.

Top shelf Eagle Creek quality. This bag is as sturdy as it is flexible. It is the perfect choice for trips where the segments include different equipment types. I can carry my electronics and a spare set of clothes. This bag can extend my carry on spinner capacity by a week. It slips over the spinner handle and has a zipper-mesh side with integral straps, organizer and folder sleeves. It is convertable for different carry options and its compartments may be locked.

Wow! I purchased this to go with other EC Tarmac pieces and it is worth the money. The first trip was to Ghana two months ago. The bag was a fantastic carryon. I packed it as I would a weekend case just in case my checked bag didn't make the trip with me. I have since used it to organize dog supplies and equipment when traveling for nose work trials. It allows one to really organize as much (or as little) as desired.The option to wear it as a backpack came in handy while in Africa.

A nice versatile weekender from Eagle Creek, full of thoughtful features. Very spacious, maybe a tad too much. I would have appreciated the full zip opening oriented with the backback straps - everything shifts sideways if you use the straps. Still a handy feature and easier on the back than the (included) shoulder straps.

Just returned from a trip to the Dominican Republic. I purchased this to take as a carry-on to go along with my smaller wheeled Eagle Creek bag. For the most part I am happy with it. I liked having the organization of the zipped and pocketed areas in the front of the bag. I did find that it would fit under the seat in front of me but it was awful tight.

Fantastically practical, versatile and lightweight. Feel a bit weird walking through the airport looking at everyone else with their rollaboards until I notice how much less space this Tarmac bag takes up in the overhead bin, and until I remind myself how much easier it is to handle. Goes on pretty easily over the handle bar of large wheeled luggage. So many pockets, I had to get used to it. Very pleased with this purchase. Highly recommended.
