If you know what you're doing, I recommend this kit, sort of.
Seller: 0/5 StarsKit: 3.5/5 StarsEnd result product: 4.5/5 StarsI have always liked building soldering kits and this one, for the price, seemed like a good buy. It was only until I got the kit that I realized there were no instructions included. Turns out you have to email someone? Didn't matter, I sent 3 emails and I never heard back. I messaged the seller on amazon and got an absolutely useless response which didn't even answer the question I had asked. As far as the kit, its fine. The lack of documentation makes it a difficult kit. That, coupled with the fact you have to solder a surface mount IC and USB port make this kit something I would only recommend to someone with moderate experience and a mid-tier station (multiple tips, adjustable heat, etc)I was able to find some images after hunting around. I had the kit mostly assembled, but I needed the values of the resistors. I have included the parts list as well, but I find its much easier to just look at the pictures to install the resistors since the numbers are all over the place in seemingly no particular order.I have no idea if the temp reading is accurate (probably isnt), I have no idea what the photocell does, no idea what the slide switch on the side does, and no idea what some of the parameters are. From what I have figured, there is time (HH:mm), date (DD.MM), something (##-#), alarm? maybe? (HH:mm), temp (##.#ºC), and something (####). To access the different parameters, you press and hold the top right button for a half second or so, and you will hear an electronic screech of some sort (thats the "bell") when you release the button. If you press a button causing an invalid entry (up or down when its operating, for example) you will get 4 short, quick screeches. To set a parameter, you just tap the top right button, and adjust with the middle and bottom buttons, cycling to the next sub parameter by tapping the top buttonTo my surprise, It actually keeps acceptable time. I have had it on for about 14 hours and it has remained at the same time down to the second. If you want to throw together your own cheap clock kit, and you know what youre doing, this one is fine. The display is bright, the case is a pain to assemble but it works, and it keeps time.

A good kit to try a simple surface mount.
The media could not be loaded. I liked this kit a lot. I had a lot of trouble with the 14 leg surface mount IC but ordered a flux pen and it worked like a charm. The thermometer indicates about 8 degrees warmer than it is and I am pretty sure it will only show Centigrade. Also the time is only 24 hour time and not 12 hour time. I had to email the seller for instructions but they got back to me pretty quickly. The circuit board doesn't have the values of the resistors marked on it only R1, R2 etc but I did find a picture of it on the website that is on the PCB. I was able to put it together before the email with the instructions arrived. Definitely use a flux pen to install the SMD IC. It is not hard at all. The flux makes the solder go right to the pads with no bridges. Also watch a video on how to do SMD soldering with a regular soldering iron. It is important not to apply the soldering iron too long to the work or it may burn out the pads.

Missing Battery, No instructions, misleading picture (no case)
No battery was included and there are no instructions. Others mention an email address to write to but there is no mention of that in mine. The picture shows an acrylic case, but there is none included. I am using the other reviewers info to attempt to build this kit.I wish I had read the reviews first because I would have avoided it. BEWARE!

Not great...
I eventually got it together, no instructions per seller description, you have to email him... still never sent me instructions on how to it it. It turns on, i cant set it though, but it does work. I had to go to chinese website listed on the board for pics. I very rarely need bad reviews, but i still cant set my clock! Btw, instructions or at least pdf should be linked in the description, not wait for people to message you.. I link to look at the pdfs before I buy so I can see if it's too hard.
