Works as it should- does not have the Marshalltown imprint on blade
Bought this to repair fireplace cracks. While the mortar was the wrong product, this tuckpoint works fine. It has a sticker for Marshalltown on it, but no other company insignia. No Marshalltown imprint on the blade, as often seen with Marshalltown tools.BUT... this tuckpoint trowel costs $7.73. A quick search shows that the less expensive "Marshalltown" tuckpoint trowels sold at hardware stores also don't have the blade imprint. The one that does, on the actual site itself, costs $16.95. At half the price, either this is a less expensive version, or it's not real. But.... it's half the price.Husband says there's no way to tell the quality until you've used it for some time, and it either bends or handle falls off. He hasn't used this one more than a few minutes. If you need a tuckpoint for a single repair job, why spend double the money? If you are looking for the highest quality for continual use, I'd look for the one that has the Marshalltown imprint on the blade or handle, both would cost substantially more. This one does not have it, but works fine.

Poor Quality
Well, now I see why this was so cheap. It’s like they didn’t complete the manufacturing process on it. 1) The metal blade was very sharp. It’s not meant to be a cutting device. They needed to file down the sharp edges. (Which I did with a metal file,) 2) It had this thick gooey adhesive like material covering the metal. They needed to clean it up before packing up to sell. (Which I did with some solvent and steel wool.) So unless you want an additional project, I would buy a better one.

Nice quality blade
I ordered this 3/8 tuck pointer because the set did not include this size. It has a nice semi flexible blade, which is a good thing. Seems well made, have yet to use it but the ones I bought in the set work well and this one is comparable to them. Great price, quality tool.
