Mess Kit With Bowl

Bought for DofE expedition. Worked really well, was great to be able to just grab it and not have to search for each piece of kit. Great quality, felt sturdy in use, wasn't worried about dropping my dinner. Knife, fork and spoon arrangement worked well and easy to use. Would recommend!

Great little camping mess kit. I use it for wild camps and the like and it’s small, functional and self contained so perfect for adding to a light weight camping pack.

I got this to take to BBQs while we're still being careful with the virus. It's a nice quality set, and I prefer the knife in this set to the other UCO utensil set. While the cup *or* the cutlery fits inside the bowl, you can't fit both at the same time. It has a rubber cord to attach the cutlery to the outside but it's a bit fiddly and they always seem to be flailing around if you don't get it exactly right. They don't come off though. The knife and spork don't snap together quite as well as I'd like. The knife part can slide "through" the spork. It doesn't cause a problem, just not as satisfying as it could be.

The top and the bottom seal well enough together to be a sandwich box but the band seems only to hold it closed when empty. It's way too weak to hold it closed with food in it. A bungy or elastic band could be used instead. The supplied band will come off but it's not really meant to too often I think. A bit useless apart from holding your cutlery on the outside to get dirty?? But, I love the colours, I like this KFS much better than the UCO spork which is less functional. The cup is an ok size for a kid. Could be better but not bad, the colours won me over :)

I use mine for office. I was dubious at first. The whole tethering arrangement seemed messy, unhygienic, likely to snag etc. However the overall quality seemed pretty good. In practice this has not really been an issue for the office and I have not really used it in anger outdoors. I would point out this is a bowl and plate. If you do sandwiches I look elsewhere although it does. But for rice, pasta, salads or decanting into absolutely brilliant! Or even to use as a storage box at a pinch. I love this thing. It is my office go to.

Great little product for work or out and about

Perfect set for camp. I couldn't have found anything better for my daughter's day camp. The materials were high quality. The set contains every piece that you could need and it all packs up nicely within itself. I will surely buy again when my son goes to camp.

Very functional item, fork/knife/spoon is awesome. Only issue is that the top and bottom do not fit together perfectly, many other reviews have noted this. Not a leakproof container but I did not expect it to be. Packs up better in my backpack than my Light my Fire mess kits due to its size and shape.

Cuidado hay 2 versiones, la que estoy valorando y la otra que no incluye la taza, por lo tanto es más económica, en general cumple con lo que promete que es servir alimento más no calentarlo a menos que sea microondas y la tasa que es normal es lo mismo, no puedes hervir en ella solo es para tomar o poner algún liquido o algo que no quieras que se mezcle en los platos, los cubiertos son de buena calidad pero no esperes mucho del cuchillo ya que no tiene mucho filo

I absolutely love this mess kit. I ordered this one for a couple of reasons: the color, the cup, the two-piece utensils (I don’t care for the one end spoon/one end fork), and the reviews regarding the grippy ring. The only downside was that the bungee tether developed a split in it soon after, whether through defect or my own folly I’m not sure. The manufacturer (ucogear.com) has an excellent and prompt container service team that sent me a new tether. Seven months later I received a second kit through a subscription box. I was a bit jealous of it since it had built in latches to keep the two sides together. I brought them both on a recent hot springs glamping trip with my partner, and (unsurprisingly) the functionality was pretty much the same. Both products make for sturdy, lightweight bowl/plates (we used them for salads) that I’d trust with the included cutlery but wouldn’t take a steak-knife to. We had leftovers, and were able to store them with our salads in the closed kits - this is where I was envious of the latches. We opted to keep them in the car while we soaked, and this was where I realized that my version (this one I’m reviewing) does indeed have a grippy textured ring on it, as opposed to the one I gave my partner which is all the same plastic - mine was more stable on the dash than his, which tried to slide off. All in all, I’m super stoked about this mess kit, and keep it with my car-camping gear.
