HD 1080P video projector that can support 4K movies for backyard movie nights
Your browser does not support HTML5 video. We have a mini video projector and wanted to upgrade to a projector than can support 4K movies, so that we can have more movie nights in our backyard especially now that movie theaters have been closed and the weather is warming up. I have included photos to show the size difference between the two projectors. Please note that 4K videos can only be displayed when connecting with a laptop computer or smart phone. This projector features full HD 1080P resolution, so the picture quality is clear and crisp. This also contains 6000 lumens of brightness so the image is very bright. This comes with an AC power cable, AV cable and HDMI cable. We have MacBook laptops and in order to connect our laptops, we needed an HDMI adaptor cable (type C male to HDMI female) which is not included so we had to purchase this separately. This also comes with a very handy remote control which you use to operate the projector since the projector only has a power button, so make sure not to lose this remote. The remote requires two (2) AAA batteries which are not included. The projector can be installed in four (4) different ways: front, front ceiling, rear and rear ceiling. Go to the menu option to change the projection mode. Front mode is used when the projector is placed in front of the wall or screen and the image will be directly projected. This is the most common mode and the mode that we are using. Front ceiling mode is used when the projector is placed upside-down from the ceiling in front of the screen. This mode is perfect for meeting rooms. Rear mode is when the projector is placed behind the screen. In this case, a special rear projection screen is needed. Lastly, rear ceiling mode is when the projector is placed upside-down from the ceiling behind the screen. Please note that in order to install the projector on the ceiling, a four-corner projector mount is required which is not included. The projector includes a lens cap which is nice to protect the lens when not in use. If you don’t see anything projected, make sure the lens cap is removed. We’ve accidentally kept this on and you can adjust the focus wheel on the lens to get a clear image when it’s unfocused. When operating the projector, use the remote control to select the correct input mode to get it connected. If you have the wrong input source, then you will get a “no image” error message. Because we’re using HDMI connected to our laptop, this is the input that we is usually select. The HDMI port is compatible with laptops, Chromecast, TV sticks, Blu-ray players, DVD players, etc. When connected to a MacBook, click “enable mirror” on the display settings bar at the top right corner of the screen with the monitor icon. You can also use USB flash drives as an input source and you can select Music, Movie, Photo or Text to display files. This projector can also be connected to audio devices. You can connect a headphone or wired audio system using a 3.5mm jack which is not included. You can adjust the following settings in the projector main menu by pressing the menu button on the remote control: picture, sound, time, language and other options. When we first used this to project a Netflix movie, the color was too green, so we adjusted the picture mode and color temperature. You can adjust the contrast, brightness, color and sharpness under the picture mode. The projector is fairly quiet and we could barely tell its fan was on. Make sure not to block the ventilation openings on the sides of the projector to prevent overheating. This is also equipped with dual HiFi stereo speakers, so you can enjoy a cinematic experience with 4K video and clear sound. The only thing that would make this projector better was if it was compatible with Bluetooth or Wifi so that we don’t have to connect to our laptop using a cable or wire. Unfortunately, it doesn’t have this capability. It would also be nice if this came with a carrying case to help protect our projector when not in use or if we wanted to take this with us to a friend’s house. I also don’t think the lamp bulb is replaceable, but the lamp life is 50,000 hours which can accommodate a lot of outdoor movie nights!

Best picture and great sound system for the price
Your browser does not support HTML5 video. I have researched a lot on different projectors. I purchased APEMAN brand 1080P HD 4K projector as I used their products in the past and like their quality. The instructions in the manual are clear and I could play videos in less than 10 minutes by connecting my USB memory stick.I could get a clear rectangular image with little adjustment of the focus wheel and keystone options in the remote. The 1920x1080 picture resolution, 16:9 aspect ratio along with the inbuilt stereo speakers provides a great home theater experience. I tried by movies from Amazon prime and my USB memory stick. The picture and sound quality are awesome. Honestly, the projector is really nice and would gladly recommend it.

Easy set up and configuration, bright, excellent for the price.
This projector is a solid, quality product that is worth every dollar I spent for it. I have owned both the Apeman LC350 and LC550, and those two were great for the price and their features. The LC650 takes the cake. Very bright and visible, even with the lights on in my room, sharp and clear images, and it is easy to set up and figure out without the manual. You have a lot of options to adjust image color, clarity, angle and more. It's excellent for the price. The fan is quiet, and you can enjoy watching movies or listening to music without the fan blowing too loudly, even when you have the projector on for a long time. I recommend it for anyone looking for a budget, 1080p/HD projector that performs just as well, or even better, as the $500+ projectors. Also, they respond relatively quickly (within a day of contacting them) to any issues you may have. No issues for me so far ever with Apeman products. We'll see how well this projector holds up.Update: Still works great, but I want to address 4 topics.1. "4K support" does not mean it can output 4K. The projector can have a 4K Input, and then it downscales it and outputs it at its native resolution, 1080p.2. Screen material and color MATTERS because it affects how much light can be reflected to produce an image. If you want better results, then you should invest in a higher quality projector screen.3. With all projectors, the edges of the output display won't be as clear as the center.4. Do some research before buying a projector. It goes a long way and can help you find the best deals and companies to buy from. I've found Apeman to be the best with portable/mini projectors as I've owned the previous 2 to this one, so I'm sticking with it unless something happens that changes my mind.

absolute unit of a lad
Your browser does not support HTML5 video. the quality on this projector is no pushover. If you look at my purchase history and previous equipment review, this blows it out of the water. Even in broad daylight this has enough lumines to see clearly, which is perfect for my studio room. The sheer size of the package was enough to convince me that it would be packing heat, and boy did it bring that.Even at ~180 inches, i was getting crisp resolution. Im sure there was supposed to be a diminished return at some point that jeopardized the 4k, but i suspect the resolution was originally higher and thus not much quality was loss and kept at above 1080p the entire time, as far as my naked eye could tell. At such a large resolution, you will tend to see minor scuffing around the edges, which is true for all projectors and this one is no exceptions. The res size you get easily makes up for that oversight though, which i am thrilled about. There were no visible fan noises and comes with its own remote, being the only way to operate the equipment. the finish is a sleek ribbed black that seems to be anti fingerprint as well, which is always a nice...touch.Speakers itself i highly recommend attaching your own stereo system for the full immersive theatre experience, though it is perfectly capable and loud enough for my neighbours to be concerned so there is no compromising there. This is probably the best medium ive come across, in terms of what you get vs the mid-4 digit price tags you would get at retail stores.

Great resolution and luminosity
Your browser does not support HTML5 video. Out of boredom, I bought this projector to have my own movie nights on an empty wall I have in my room. This projector has been great so far, running with minimal fan noise and the picture can be easily focused into any screen size I want by changing the distance and rotating the lens until the picture quality is perfect. I am currently using it for movie nights while hooked up to my android box so that I can access all the online streaming services, and I can also connect a usb drive with all the movies I own to view at any time. The luminosity is great as well, even in daylight with the curtains halfway open I could still see the projected picture. The ability to control resolution and screen size at hand is very nice, since I adjust it to when I am watching a 1080p full hd video or a 4k video from the settings to have the best experience. The included remote is simple with a nice size and takes two AAA batteries. The projector itself has speakers which can get pretty loud, however depending on the size of the space this projector is used in, there might be a need for external speakers which can be connected through the 3.5 mm headphone jack. However, for my room its more than enough to satisfy my expectations. I haven’t figured out the perfect spot to install the projector, where I might just attach it to the ceiling. Customer service has been very helpful at answering my questions about using the projector with my iphone.

Superb Value and Quality
Your browser does not support HTML5 video. This projector is definitely a valuable product. I was surprised by how high the quality was for the price of this projector. As you can see in the images, it has great packaging, a premium look and feel, great design, and has a pretty nice user interface. I tested the projector in 2 types of lighting. One with partial sunlight, and one in darkness. The projector performed well in both tests, and has really clear picture and video quality. It filled up the entire wall which was around 12ft long and 7 ft high of imagery. The focus was easily adjustable, and you can adjust the angle of the screen through the remote. It also has very good and customizable colouring. One last thing that this projector does well in, is sound. Most projectors have horrible sound quality, but this projector actually has a decent speaker with good volume. It doesn't sound like a tin can, and has an acceptable amount of bass with midrange frequencies too. Overall great buy, and I would 100% recommend.

Bright, sharp picture, useful remote
Your browser does not support HTML5 video. I was looking for a new projector for my basement theatre that was bright and had good HD quality picture. This projector was exactly what I was looking for. It has a very bright picture so it looks great even in a dimly lit room. The picture quality is phenomenal, Netflix plays in crisp 1080p and the colours look very vibrant and clear.Setting this projector up was very easy. It came with a remote and HDMI cable so I didn't need to buy any additional parts. Calibration was pretty easy as well. The focus knob is easy to turn in small amounts so it is possible to fine tune the focus. The projector also has a built in front stand to raise or lower the lens to line up perfectly with my screen as well. One surprising feature was the ability to shrink the output. This was very useful to me because my projector screen was a bit small, but I was able to reduce the picture size to 75% and it fit my screen perfectly.Overall this projector exceeded my expectations and i found it to be an excellent value.

Turning you home into a theatre
Now that theatres and watching movies publicly could be a thing of the past, at least for the time being, we had to fend for ourselves to try and replicate the same experience. Our place isn't large enough to have a dedicated theatre, so something inexpensive and more portable than you would think does the job. We've tried non full high definition projectors in the past and don't waste your time, it just won't cut it - you need full high definition to take advantage of the larger viewing area (also so the pixelation isn't more pronounced). We landed on this because of the brightness rating as we didn't want to necessarily only use it in complete darkness, having the ability to use it with some background ambient light is a plus. Having a keystone adjustment/correction is also, well key. It really makes moving it around and using it in different places that much more feasible and easy to setup. It allows you to have much more flexibility, both vertically and horizontally, and instead of having to tinker with it on the unit itself it can all be done via remote. So whether it's on a low table, high shelf, ceiling, etc, with the correction you can get that square and not trapezoid image you need. The lamp life is slated to last longer than you probably would ever keep it for, perhaps the biggest plus of new bulb tech. It looks like the unit is fully sealed around to prevent dust from getting in and affecting anything, and the metallic looking finish looks and feels nice to the touch, not like a plain plastic shell. The back connection panel pretty much mimics what you would expect from a tv, with hdmi, usb and av connection points. While you can connect a external audio source, it does have built in speaker makings it a actually viable portable unit. For example we took it outdoors and played retro games with it shown on the side of a garage.
