Bought this after reading the overwhelming glowing reviews... & because if this, paid more than I'd normally pay for a beach towelJust to say that I've given this towel a decent chance and I've put off leaving a review... Initial impressions were awful (as a towel to dry yourself) but I've used it again and again because I couldn't believe how bad it was compared to the reviews. I washed it as per the instructions & it made no difference.First of all, it is lightweight, it is compact, it does appear well made... But it is not a towel! It does not do the job it's intended for!This "towel" is very very thin. smooth and it has no pile at all.. I'd liken it to a beach throw... but I've already got a beach throw! I don't want another one that pretends to be a towel! People in the reviews have said that it doesn't hold the sand...of course it doesn't, there's no pile to it.To point out, this "towel" is 100% synthetic, no cotton at all. It's described by the seller as microfibre. I retail microfibre products & this is like no microfibre I've ever seen. It seems to me that the seller has just used that term with no justification... it's synthetic so it's microfibre!The instructions say that it must be washed in cold water... I can only think that it's because it's not colourfast at higher temperatures. In my opinion most quality products now are colourfast in a hot wash & it's only poorer quality items that aren't. Draw your own conclusions, but how are you going to get heavy stains out of this on a cold wash.Anyway.... drying yourself, it's terrible! It sticks to your skin when drying, it ruffles up, it's a bad experience.... It IS like drying yourself with a tablecloth!Yes, it looks good & may it be OK as a sun lounger cover. It's made in China & I'd suggest the manufacture price is £2-£3.... ridiculous mark upI'm just baffled by the reviews!Avoid

I purchased a blue stripe one and red stripe one. Both are very soft, almost a soft felt feel, very thin material means it can fold down to the size of a thick a5 envelope. Very light weight. I have waited until after our holiday to review. We took these to the Caribbean for 2 weeks and they were brilliant. Laying them on sand or a sun bed, they did not hold sand at all, they dried us and kids very efficiently, and then they were completely dry quickly after. Perfect for having in my bag on day trips out. Meant we could avoid dragging heavy hotel issued beach towels about. They were hardly any weight in our cases. Definitely worth the money for us and I recommend if you are looking for a high quality light weight beach towel that dries quickly.

Well I bought theseto travel with to use at the beach without having the bulky,takes ages to dry towel, but didn’t end out using them as the hotel provided all our beach towels. As soon as I returned from my holiday I thought I’d try them out. I was a bit surprised when I first opened the towels before we went away as they felt like a tablecloth, but the instructions say to wash it before use to soften the fibres which it did. I used the towel today after a very bracing swim back in the uk. It’s best to wrap the towel around you and let it do it’s thing, which if I’m honest I didn’t think it would. Well I’m happy to say it worked. You need to pat or rub gently to dry, which again is advised. I’m actually pleased with the towels I bought as they also come with their own little case and would be great if your backpacking. They are huge but very lightweight and dry quickly. I popped ours in the washing machine for a proper wash and they were dry within the hour, again another great point. I look forward to getting some good use out of these towels. And no I’m not on commission!

I ordered these for an upcoming holiday and had them shipped to my mums. She totally doubted their capability to dry a pot let alone a person. After some persuasion to try one of the towels she is now converted and buying some for her and my dad. Not saying they are hard to please or that I like to be right... But... These towels are everything they profess to be and.. I was totally right to buy these ones, they are that good. You are paying a bit more but the quality, sizing and colours are fab and absolutely no fluff even after first use

I was really sceptical as to whether it would be as good as a normal towel, but it is. It is a very generous size, very light, folds up very small and dries quickly once used. We bought it to try on our boat and it is ideal. We will buy some more.

Used this towel on a recent road trip from UK to Hungary. Perfect to have a large towel that folded up into a neat carrier in my overnight bag. It came in useful right away as we stayed in an F1 with no towel provided. Towel dried quickly for packing next day. Washed and reused for beach. Great size, light to pack, quickly dries, large enough to use as a beach towel. Won't bother to pack a towelling towel in future - I am converted! Only down side is that they cannot be hot washed for hygiene purposes, as I like to wash my towels on a 60 degree cycle.

The towels arrived promptly and were so light for their size.I would recommend them for taking on holiday when you have a weight limit.They pack really small & although dont dry the skin in the same way as "normal towels" I was overall really pleased with them & will definitely take them when I holiday in the future.They also dry so fast after use.

These towels are very effective at wicking away moisture. I cannot vouch yet for how quickly they dry out in normal conditions but we'll find out soon on a European road trip which is one of the reasons we bought these very compact towels. Best of all for me is the tremendous no quibble customer service that we received from the company in response to us finding a small mark on one of the original towels supplied. Co-founder of the company Elise was so helpful and demonstrated a real customer oriented attitude. Truly first class service
