My husband is hooked on this Johnny B Mode gel and honestly I get why. It smells really fresh, like clean not cologne-y, and I always notice it in a good way when he uses it. The hold is awesome too. It keeps his hair in place all day but doesn’t make it look stiff or crunchy. His hair still feels soft, like there’s nothing in it, and there’s no flaking or weird residue at all. He’s got pretty thick hair and this stuff handles it no problem without making it look greasy or weighed down. He also likes that it rinses out easily and doesn’t build up over time.I will say it’s a bit pricier than some of the drugstore gels but he swears it’s worth it. This is the best stuff I have found in my 50 years. Hold is solid but not like fly paper. Smell is really nice and clean. The amount you get for the money is much better than others. Its a real value. I fully understand the great reviews now.
