Living proof Prime Style Extender Hair Primer, 5 Fl Oz

This is my Favorite from Living Proof i have already ordered several of these 5 oz Style Extenders and i like when a product works as they claim it to.This really holds your style throughout the day and into the next morning ,i wash my hair every day but i noticed when i wake up if i just run the Brush through it the style falls back in place,With this product you can use as much as you want and your hair wont look flat and oily ,after i put this on i use other styling products over this but if you want this can be used alone.This product is one worth trying.I dont think you will be disappointed.update july 23,2017 im still using this faithfully I know some reviewers said they recieved a fake one. I purchased mine from Specialized Beauty Store here in Amazon and it is without a doubt the real deal (Authentic).I recently bought a tube at ulta for 30 dollars and compared the two and they were the same.This still keeps my hair looking great through the entire day just a quick brush and my style falls back into place.I would definitely know the difference had I recieved a fake .The real product does not disappoint!

I am so glad that I tried this product! Living Proof Prime Style Extender is probably my favorite hair care product EVER. At the risk of sounding dramatic, I have to say that it's been nothing short of life changing for me! I'm a middle aged woman who is lucky enough to have long, thick hair. Because I have an oily scalp, I've been washing my hair daily for years. It takes hours for it to air dry, and at least 20 minutes to dry with a hair dryer. All that washing, heat styling, and color to cover the grays have, over time, really started to fry my hair. Word on the street was I could mitigate some of that damage by extending the time between washes, but I didn't want my hair to look like a greasy rag in between washes.Enter the Style Extender. I bought this on a whim, just to experiment to see if I could extend my time between washes to 48 hours instead of 24. I'm happy to say that I'm now going 3-4 days between washes, and my hair looks and feels fantastic! I'm not sure what kind of voodoo miracle magic they put in this stuff, but it genuinely seems to keep my hair cleaner, from roots to ends. Whether I straighten my hair or wear it curled, the style does seem to hold it's shape well into day two. By day three I touch it up a bit or start wearing it up, and that's when I usually start adding dry shampoo. By then, my hair has some great texture and volume, which is a big change from the pre-style extender days when it would have looked oily and lifeless by day three. Less washing and heat styling has made my hair shinier and less frizzy, and the flaky patches I had on my scalp are starting to clear up, as well.A couple of tips for anyone looking to extend their time between washing by using this product. First of all, I learned that while you don't want to be stingy when applying this product, you do want to make sure you thoroughly work the product in from roots to ends, distributing what you've applied evenly throughout your hair. Too much at the roots and it will weigh the hair down and you won't really benefit from it because it will make your roots seem greasy if it hasn't been distributed well. After sweating heavily, all I want to do is wash up, so I haven't experimented with how it works after ta tough workout. But after a light-moderate workout, I find that blowing cool air to dry the damp hair and applying dry shampoo seems to be enough to keep me from having to wash. The style extender seems to help repel dirt and oils from the hair, but it isn't going to prevent your scalp from producing oils. Over time your scalp will naturally adjust and produce less oil because it doesn't need to replenish it as often since you are shampooing (and stripping the oils) with less frequency. But I find it helps to keep my scalp from feeling itchy if I apply a product like  SCALPICIN Max Strength Scalp Itch Treatment, 1.5 Ounce  before using the style extender, and then again on day 3 or 4 as needed. I also use dry shampoo liberally on days 3 and 4, to help absorb extra oil. I haven't used the  Living Proof Perfect hair Day dry shampoo 4.0 OZ (198 ML)  yet, but based on my experience with the Style Extender, I am ready to plunk down money to try any of the other products in their line.

Summary: I received a free sample of this item from Sephora and took it with me on a trip. I didn't expect anything of it, except for some after-shower haircare, but I was stunned. My hair was soft, supple and smelled amazing- and the packet lasted me through multiple washes.Upsides: A little goes a long way, and this product has been fantastic time and time again. It's extremely affordable and comes with a ton of product. I've used this in conjunction with heat protectant, hair serums and the Shu Uemura oil-in-creme and it worked just as well as it did alone.Downsides: No particular downsides. I have thick, medium-to-coarse, wavy hair and this may not work for all hair types.

I use this on my pixie cut. I have thick hair. I like the texture of the product and a little does go a long way. I don't wash my hair every day but I do get it wet everyday so I apply a very small amount each time. I can only go about 3 days with this product and then I have to wash my hair because it becomes too weighed down and a little greasy.

Amazing product ! My hair is very thin and fine, I have to use buckets of product and multiple cans of hairspray for any type of style to stay in. I purchased a kit from Living Proof that contained this style extender hair primer and since I love a more natural look, I decided to only use this primer with my regular shampoo and conditioner. My hair has never looked this good. The style extender holds my basic style for 3 days! it does fall some, to be expected, but the basic style is there. I can't believe how much I love my hair. Still fine and thin, but the style holds and I don't have to use multiple cans of hairspray for it to stay in.I don't know how they can do this without my hair getting gooky and turning into a helmet. I usually wash my hair every 3 days, I have gone as much as 7 days and it still looked clean.

I was let down by this product. It made my hair greasy the next day, which the whole point is that this isn't supposed to do that. It might work for dryer hair types. It smells nice. It didn't work for me.

This product works really well for me, and I swear by it! I apply it to my damp roots and I can go a week to a week and a half without washing my hair (I also use dry shampoo). Love this product!

Me gusta porque no engrasa el cabello. Me lo pongo con el cabello recién lavado y un poco secado con la toalla. Desenreda y da cuerpo a mi cabello fino. Después puedo moldearlo con más facilidad.

This stuff is incredible. Before I couldn't wash my hair in the morning and wake up the following day with it in even a remotely similar state. It literally repels naturally occurring oils that can make morning hair look greasy and seriously extends the length of time a style holds. What was even more impressive to me is that you cannot even tell or feel product in your hair. It smooths everything and now I need not go a day with frizzy hair. Anyone looking for their wonder product - you need this!!For reference: my hair is midlength to long, brown, undyed, naturally fluffy/frizzy/wavy

Superb product! I happened upon this looking for something that wouldnt be too heavy but would settle my frizzy hair when suffering from moisture in the air, or doing some serious speed walking to work. It's truly been a godsend, just try it out and see for yourself.
