One of my favorite purchases of the past year.
l -1 star for the cheap gas regulator, the regulator works and I'm still using it but the dials are cheap and the plastic breaks off easy. I would also like a more substantial fitting on the back of the welder itself where the gas hose connects. it seems like its just sitting in plastic. It would be nice If I didn't feel I needed to have a wrench on the hose and a wrench on the welder. Other than the minor issues with the gas hose this has been a great investment. Its earned its purchase price just for the repairs I've been able to make to my PTO mounted brush hog, and the custom tools I've had to fabricate for various jobs around the farm. I've also used it to weld a new exhaust on my old dump truck without issue. I've even used it to repair an old brinks safe I had to cut open when the code sheet got locked inside (that was to easy. The steel was thin and the concrete soft and brittle, only took 5 minutes to open up with a grinder)Once you get your wire feed and amperage settings tuned up for the material your welding you will get that nice bee buzzing sound from your weld and away you go. The unit is lightweight and has worked well off of the 20amp circuit, It hasn't tripped once.As far as gas goes I've been using C25 (argon/co2) and the welds have gone fast and looked clean. I've also used just plain flux wire and the gas welds go much faster and are much cleaner. I do go through gas, but the gas usage was spot on with what the welding shop said I would use. I would recommend getting the biggest bottle you can afford and go bigger. Also, talk to your local gas supplier before getting a tank, my local welding shop pretty much just does tank exchanges or tank leases, so it's pointless to buy yourself a nice new tank just to turn it in and get a beat up old one.

Good value for the price
I would rate it 4.5 but I'll give it the benefit of the extra 1/2 point. The wire feed runs a little toward the over feed after trigger release. The AC versus DC swapping is very quick and easy. I only have 4 cumulative arc hours at this writing, but it seems stronger and easier to control arc and feeds. Good value for the price, allowing cash for other tools.

Great Welder
I'm a first time welder, and this unit is very straight forward....and works great on 120volts. I can still run lights, radio, grinder, cutter during the weld. My compressor is pushing the limits of the single 120 line in my shop. But I can work around it. I have welded 1/8' material with good penetration. Have not tried MIG.... just Flux-core, and .30 wire. I can think of any cons.

Great so far
I used to weld a lot. I have owned the expensive blue and red ones. I have not used it a lot so I cannot speak for longevity or durability but it works great. It is very light. I have only used flux core on this machine

You won't regret buying this wire-feed welder
I'm only a hobbyist, but I have to say that I love this machine. It's clean, well built and easy to use. I have yet to use it with gas, but so far, it has accomplished everything that I have asked of it with flux-core wire operating on 110v.

I really like it very well built product
I really like it very well built product . Can't wait to get argon bottle hooked up to try to weld with it then. Seems soder core wire splatters a lot . I think when I get regular mig wire I will get a lot smoother weld.

Adverstisemwnt needs to be re done
If you don't need to work on heavy stuff it is ok. It was to have come with a welding mask. It was advertised to have one. It did not v

very nice welder, wire feed is smooth and efficient
very nice welder, wire feed is smooth and efficient, and I doubt that any 120 v unit can best this one for power or efficiency. Can't comment on duty cycle because I've only used it on one small project so far. The overall build quality appears to be excellent. Very happy with this unit.
