ZONETECH 50W 6Ohm LED Load Resistors - 4-Pieces Premium Quality LED Load Resistors for LED Turn Signal Lights or LED License Plate Lights or DRL (Fix Hyper Flash, Warning Cancellor)

Fixes bias current for fast flashing LEDs to make them slow down. I installed LED tail lights and front turn signal lights and the car's thermal-mechanical flasher unit didn't work right with the low current LED bulbs. These bias resistors add another ~2 amperes of current to each LED turn signal flasher bulbs. Worked great, slow and reasonable again. Make sure to install them across the flashing section of the bulb, not the parking light. You can follow the wire from the socket to the connector and find the right hot flasher wire. The black wire is usually ground for the other wire. The color of the flasher wire may vary between bulb locations on the car, that tricked me, so make sure you follow down and check each wire for the right hot flasher section.

They are working fine in my pickup. A couple of issues with the literature. If it was mentioned, I missed and found two areas in other places. The first was that you need one resistor per bulb. My truck has two turn signal bulbs which I replaced with LED's. Each bulb needed a resister wired into it. The second item was that the resistors create a lot of heat and need to be placed away from plastic, paint and any other combustible material. Aside from that they are working fine.

I bought these to use as tiny heaters, which is what resistors are.The 8 pieces ranged from 6.5-6.7 Ohms, so within acceptable tolerances.With aluminum heat sinks, they are just what I needed.They appear to be potted, but I would not use them directly exposed to rain, as there are no specs for water resistance rating.Didn't use for automotive lights, so no idea how they work in that application.

Can not get them to work. After figuring the vehicle wires out. They work great. No more hyper flashing

UPDATE:I incorrectly had the wire mated to the always on parking tail-light wire (when they are on of course) causing the resistors to get MAJOR HOT. See diagram and use lower half drawing. Recognizing this error (knew this could not be right - too hot to even touch after lights on only 3 minutes) I Googled around and found the drawing here. It is vitally important to splice into the brake light signal wire, not the parking light wire as this was my major goof. These run cool as a cucumber mounted to flat metal housing surfaces on my 2013 Camry close to each bulb socket. Am running Phillips 7403 LED bulbs. Expensive but high quality. I did solder each bare wire splice connection and heat shrank joints - much more efficient and reliable than included knife splices. If you invest in a 200+ watt soldering gun Weller D550PK 120-volt 260/200-watt Professional Soldering Gun Kit it will last a lifetime and every custom wire you install on your vehicle will have better than factory connections. A fair price and GREAT!

I received my LED Load Resistors within two days. The hardest part was trying to figure out which of the three wire to use on the front turn signals. I went to the local automotive parts store and purchased a light detector that looks like a screwdriver with a light inside the handle and a wire coming out the top with an alligator clip to determine which wire was hot when the turn signal was turned on. The install only took 20 minutes with everything that was supplied with the load resistors. This time included placing load resistors on the rear turn signals also which only had two wires. With the load resistor installed the hyper flashing stopped and now the turn signals operate like normal. I am very satisfied with the LED Load Resistors.

I needed to extend the wires so they wouldn't be so tight, I had a different set on and the ends where the wire attaches to the resistor corroded to the point of failure after less than 2 years, so this time I used Liquid electrical tape and covered all the connection points with it.
