This is a yes!
My beagle doesn't typically like being brushed, but she loves this brush. It's soft and efficient. Gets off loose hair and on short haired dogs, cleans off easily. I don't reccomend using on a double coated dog, and I think the bristles wouldn't manage a thicker coat.Easy to use and decently made. Will definitely buy another in the future. Great for short-haired hounds.

A Lovely Brush
So. This brush started out and was intended to be for my dog. Except he hates when I try to brush him and he already goes to the groomer every 2 weeks. So it sat unused on the counter until one day, I was running late to go to class. I couldn’t find a hairbrush for the life of me and there this lil beauty was, still in its packaging. I ripped it out and used it to brush my own hair and when I tell you how beautifully shiny it was! The boar bristles made brushing through my hair easy and pain free. It helped detangle my hair rather easily. I can definitely see why you’d want this for your dog. It’s nice and gentle but gets the job done.

BioSilk Boar-Hair Dog Brush-Wet & Dry Use & Increases Coat Sheen ( Not a deep hair removal tool)
This uniquely designed brush has a center section formed in a flexible coil, providing the functionality to apply varying degrees of pressure in working on different areas of the body.My extremely sensitive dog that I rescued loves baths and showers, NOT the comb or brushouts.I shampoo her with an organic shampoo bar with a bit of original Blue Dawn mixed in which enables the faster removal of dead coat hairs. For a long-haired dog, I would not consider this to be a deep hair removal tool, for those purposes, I would find a coated comb The brand Wet-Brush and Wet-Comb are my best tools for those uses. ( I am always looking for less stressful and/or painful tools for grooming solutions.)The Boar Hair bristles are a BIG PLUS for bringing the natural oils out onto the coat to increase the sheen while decreasing the frizz factor.I actually bought TWO of these brushes, one for my dog and one for MYSELF!This brush works well in smoothing and bringing out the natural oils for my silky baby-soft human hair as well. One of my neighbors actually wants to buy one for herself because she noticed my hair, hers having become very dried out and frizzy after being sick with the COVID-19 virus.I hope that BioSilk soon makes a much smaller version for me to use for my short-haired Russian Blue female cat. She being would HATE IT, then turn around a love all over me, BECAUSE she is NOT a baby LOL. She is a fastidious coat groomer, however every coat needs some help to remove hair in those not reachable areas.

Works incredibly well for doggos who dislike brushing!
The media could not be loaded. My doggo is NOT a fan of brushing, I have tried every type of brush out there and it is always a trial. He took to this brush immediately, even lets me brush places like his lil arm pits, which he doesn’t even like me touching during pets. The bristles are stiff but soft enough for sensitive spots and I think the open, spiral design allows for good pressure but doesn’t press too hard, making it a nice balance of comfy and effective for getting out tangles. I’ll be interested to see how well it works once my dogs hair grows a bit longer, but even the kitties come running for it and seems to deshed fairly well with their hair texture. I do wish it was a bit smaller for the small breed doggos but even with its size it works well. Never thought I’d be writing a 5 star review for a dog brush but it truly is excellent and well priced on top of that.

We love it!
I have 2 dogs, lab/pit and a wire hair terrier, and we all love this brush. I have the metal needle type brush but neither dog needs that type as there’s nothing to detangle. I also the deshedding tool but wanted a brush for their coats. This brush is a godsend. My favorite part is the cleaning. Well, not the job itself but the ease in which I am able to clean it. Bristle brushes are a pain to clean and when I saw this brush I thought “this one is it”, less bristles to deal with. The terrier looooovvvveees it. She comes running whenever I pick it up. The other one is 12 years old and collecting dander, more than I knew, and this brush loosens the dander so I can manage it. Then I give him a good brushing, use the deshedder to remove dander from his outer coat. I clean the fur from the brush with the deshedder which is perfect. Less bristles to clean; the dogs love it and I love it. Oh! I forgot the flexibility of it. I think it makes the brush able to use on smaller dogs because it contours to their bodies and not stiff like traditional brushes making it a bit more gentle. The boar bristles keep firm while brushing. Hope your dog will love it like mine do.

It’s ok
Bought for my Cavalier King Charles 5mo old puppy who still has short hair as she hasn’t grown out a full adult coat yet. I figured this would be useful just to brush some of her ear hairs to lay flat and keep all her hairs in the same direction. It barely does that well. Her hair is short and close the body so it really shouldn’t be an issue. The problem is that the bristles are too soft and flexible to do much of anything. I do like the flexible design of the paddle portion of the brush. It allows the brush to brush over the contours of her body while maintaining contact with all the bristles. The plus is she doesn’t mind this and I’ll be using it mostly as a training brush for real grooming down the road. Overall, I found it to be Too soft to be truly useful for our situation. Hope this helps!
