A durable puppy toy
We bought this before we got our Hungarian vizsla puppy (in the photo with the tuffy bone at 8 weeks of age). I think at first this toy was a little too large for him, and his jaw muscles were too weak to operate the squeaker and he couldn't even get his mouth around the full width of the bone.... so all he could do then was chew the corners :)Now at 3.5 months our little bundle of joy can finally squeak the squeaker, albeit still quite faintly (it's quite cute), and his yellow bone has moved up the ladder as far as favourite toys go. Funny, though the black edging martial has now been almost entirely removed from all four corners of the bone, yet the toy still appears to be fully intact as far as structure and stuffing, there's nothing coming from the inside, and it feels sturdy when I pick it up. I guess there must be some stitching even under that black ribbon that covers the bone's edges. The really great thing is that the squeaker squeaks enough to keep our boy interested, but it's not so obtrusive as to drive us insane. I wonder if that will change as our puppy's jaws grow bigger ;)I do recommend the Tuffy Bone. However, if you want your puppy to instantly fall in love with it and have it as his favourite toy, wait until it's at least 3 months old and can bite hard enough for the squeaker to squeak :)

Squeaker alert
Its been thrown, chewn, taken out with us on walks, got it wet, dried it out, then threw it, chewed it, taken it out on walks, gotten it wet..... etcAND it still bloody squeaks - arrrrrgggghhhhhWasnt too fussed when one of the squeakers was broken on delivery as it has four in it, but somehow the beating it has taken made it work again.Had to hide it at one point, but that just became a "game", I thought this would be less work than the dog rope tug of war, but this is now considered an additional game to be played.... dogs!Orginally bought one for my parents new puppy (sharp teeth chewer, destroyer of house) - with no stuffing to be pulled out to get consumed he can be left at night with this toy or when they go out, I dont expect many toys to survive a puppy either but it is a real solid construct, it has survived, so got one for my own dog (note both dogs are small breeds, a cavalier and the puppy is a malitpoo)

tuff toys for tuff dogs
I love the tuffy toys as they have such longevity. I have spaniels who go into auto-destruct mode when they see a soft toy and can strip a standard pet shop presentation in five minutes flat, which is a waste of money.Tuffy toys are different. Yes, the dog CAN get through them, but oh does it take them a lot of time. Once the dog has destuffed the toy in part, I simplyhadn them back the remains, which then go on to last MONTHS.One of the nicer things about them is their appearence, and the fact that they are so highly visible with the bright colours that the humans do not trip over them as they do with the carpet-coloured bones and chews......Highly reccomended for all dogs small and large.

My dogs are serious chewers, and can make holes ...
My dogs are serious chewers, and can make holes in tough toys within minutes (other tuffy toys have lasted literally an hour before being holed and stuffing removed). This one, so far, has lasted with only minor damage to the seams. The seams are tough and robust - but not fully chew-proof. However, the fact that it's not too full of stuffing, quite 'flat' and gives little purchase for the dog to chew the material only (rather than the seam), means it survives even the most determined dog for quite some time.

Hard Toy
Happy with prompt service and the toy was very sturdy in structure, although not sure how long that will last with my little pooch!

Super strong toy
As with all the Tuffy toys, this one was tough, chew resistant and fun for my two dogs. The best thing about this one was that the three-ring design meant I could play tug with two dogs at the same time, and have endless hours of fun watching my two dogs haring about the house with the same toy in their mouths.Very much reccomended for chewy dogs and owners who like the toys to last and last and last...

Not so tuff
It lasted a couple of months until our 7-month Lab turned her full attention to it, then it was half an hour before she had the stitches broken and the stuffing out. I didn't see any evidence of the reinforced inner lining and I had to pick up all the pieces!!
