My kids aren’t exactly thrilled about doing workbook pages during summer break, but as a parent, I love this First Grade Big Workbook. I homeschool and am always looking for things to keep one child busy while I work with the other one. This was perfect for my beginning 1st grader. Some of the pages he could figure out the directions on his own and some I had to help him but overall he’s been very engaged in it. I would say it’s challenging enough for him but not too challenging that he gives up. Good for kids who are still in the starting to read stage but past just CVC words. And there are a good amount of pages too which is a plus. Definitely worth buying!

Great for practice. Lots of different learning activities

I love this for my first grader. I have been homeschooling kindergarten and we had been using the kindergarten version of this book and decided to get this as well. It covers most of the topics I had planned to do with her . My only complaint is that it has some pages that could have been replaced with something better

Fantastic book. I've used this for all of my kids so far, and it is absolutely perfect.

This is a quality book, good activities and lots of them. My child wanted an activity book to practice her skills (internally motivated to learn to read) the summer before first grade. She is a strong/average reader. Summer before first grade, she needed a fair amount of help with the reading sections. By the end of first grade, she can do most of them with very little help. So the activities are developmentally appropriate. I’m picky and I would buy this again.
