Sturdy, well-built, and takes a stain very well.
I purchased two of these several months apart, finished them with red mahogany Danish oil, and stacked them to make a short bookcase.Despite being bought several months apart, the dimensions of each were close enough to allow me to tie them together with cast iron straps.I have bought several pieces of unfinished furniture from International Concepts, and each piece has held up very well.

Looks great in our living room. Arrived boxed in 4 large preassembled pieces. 8 bolts to assemble the sides together. Took 10 minutes tops. Stained and finished easily.
