Lasts a long time!
Definitely recommend getting these XL cartridges so they last a good long while before replacing! I have a Canon TS6420a, and with light-moderate use (print something at least once a week, in color about half the time), the XL cartridges last a little over a year. Went through a little over a ream of paper in that time, so there's another metric for how much it can print. I when I bought the printer, I was concerned about the programming forcing me to buy ink before it was actually necessary – happily, that's not the case! It did start warning me the ink was low or "may be out" about a month or two ago, but kept printing just fine, and I only went ahead and bought this because the print quality finally started to suffer. In normal use, the color contrast and accuracy are great! Definitely great on printer paper, and I've also printed a few full-color photographs onto photo paper, which all turned out amazing.Price-wise, Amazon was the cheapest when I needed it, which was the main reason I bought it here. The first box I got was in rough shape – had a bunch of water damage that had affected about half the box, giving it that swollen/"deteriorating" look cardboard gets when it gets soaked and then dries off, and it had gotten pretty bashed up in that portion of the box, probably because it only shipped in a bubble mailer & the weakened cardboard couldn't hold up in there. Given the cost of the ink, I didn't think it was worth the gamble on opening it to see if the cartridges were okay – just went ahead and reported it damaged to Amazon. They quickly replaced it with a new one, this one undamaged, hooray! This time it only shipped in a poly mailer (no padding whatsoever), but the box looked perfectly fine, so I'm not going to worry about it. Looks like a legitimate Canon product as well. Despite initial water damage issue, I would still recommend buying from Amazon (assuming this is the best cost available) :)

OE cartridges work flawlessly
Hard to find fault with Canon's OE inks. I tend to shy away from after market ink cartridges though they can be quite a bit cheaper. I don't do a lot of printing so am happy to pay more for OE inks I know can be relied upon.

Expensive Ink
The cartridges are expensive and you cannot use after-market cartidges in the machine, a Canon TS6400. The printer makes excellent color copies (ink jet), but is very slow. It is not my main printer; I use it only for color.
